View Full Version : News Pears and Reimers may return for dreamtime!
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/94513/default.aspxESSENDON could be boosted by the surprise return of at least two key players for Saturday night's Dreamtime at the G clash with Richmond.
Both Tayte Pears (arm) and Kyle Reimers (thumb) were expected to miss at least another week and possibly another three with their respective injuries.http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/94513/default.aspx
Can only be a good thing i imagine!! i Hope there are no wholesale changes though!

I think if Pears is right then bring him in. We need him. Reimers we don't need as much right now so no point risking a player that might not be match fit.

Give them both another week off, or a game at Bendigo. Williams to come in for Hooker.

I like williams but seriously BTG, WTF has he done to justify senior selection?
I didnt see the bendigo game but 0 goals isn't great from him in the 2s.. I'd rather pears in. thats it.

Fractured raidius and ulna, I get the feeling Pears wants to play with fractures.

Think of match ups, Tyson Slattery on Reiwoldt would be great!

He kicked 4 last game he played.
If you are referring to the game versus sandringham, he didn't play as he was the emergency.

7 goals in his past two Bendigo games. He didn't play on Saturday as he was on stand-by for Sunday.
Having said that, it's more about ensuring Tayter is 100% right.

If Knights doesnt play Williams this week I'll personally slap him!

Don't really get why, our forward line structure has looked much better without him there. I'd only be up for it if Knights played Hurley down back and gave Zaharakis a decent midfield rotation.
Our line looks like more fluid with him out, but would look more dangerous with him there. Especially if the main small stopper goes on Gus, then Willo could have a day out against the Tigz.
Two sharp shooters, Gus and Willo.....count me in.

With Hurls going down back to replace Hooker, Williams should come in.
He'll kick a bag against Richmond.

Both should play against the Tiges. It will be a good training hit out for the big game a week later.
They'll be better prepared playing a game of AFL then having a week at Bendigo.
I'm actually worried about Jack Riewoldt. He killed us last year with - from memory - all of Pears, Hooker and Fletcher playing.
Personally I'd play Fletcher on him, and Hurley/Pears on Morton.

Play Fletch on Jack, even double team him as they don't have much else up forward firing at the moment. Put McVeigh on Nahas as he can sneak a few goals.

TBH I'm not worried about Riewoldt, its the midfield we need to focus on.
Deledio, Tuck, Jackson, Cotchin and White, did the damage last week. Thankfully Jackson is a huge out, so we should have the strength in the midfield with NLM due to return.
NLM and Hille really need to put the hurt on the smalls, hit hard early and take their run, we should run them out in the second.
Sap Riewoldt of his supply and he has the tendency to go a bit Fev and crack the sads.
Great news although I think we should leave Tayter for one more week and put Willo in.
Yep that would do nicely. Oh and also maybe T. Slattery as well?

Morton is playing in the Magoos.
Polak and Riewoldt were the 2 tall forwards last week.
Polak struggled and Riewoldt was up against the worst defence in the AFL.
Graham rested forward and took a couple of grabs.
Pears plays if declared fit - No ifs and buts.
