How ironic that it was against South Africa.

Not the best bowler ever, but probably the "greatest ever".

Great effort by the old bastard. You could argue that he should have given it up by now, but he's still the equal of any of their other bowlers at the moment, so providing he stays mentally and physically able, I would let him continue as long as he likes.

The thing that spoils it is that he kept on playing to get to 500, great effort, but ambrose will be remembered more!

JUBx2 - Walsh said that he was going to retire against Australia, but then decided to try and get 500 wickets on the South African series. I guess he'll quit when his legs drop off.

But I remember Walsh waving goodbye to the WACA crowd in the 96 series with Ambrose, so obviously he has a hard time deciding to hang up his boots mon!

Welldone Walshy, a true Champ. What a great way to go out, a series against Bangladesh! Perhaps he should go after the South Africa series.

Walsh is one of the greatest fast bowlers in history but i think its very much the Jordan Pippen theory .... he was always Ambroses Pippen.
