Congrats to Antonu Grover - 50 games
A milestone that has snuck up on us !!
Lucky they aren't kicking straight or we'd be getting flogged.

9 points down.... Deep down I am pretty happy with the pressure we are putting on them defensively.
We are going with the wind in the 2nd ... if we can go in with a lead at HT ..anything could happen.
Woods , Polak our best ATM .

Half Time
Port 7 6 48
Freo 5 5 35 - Longmuir 3 , Croad , Carr
Port with 3 late goals give them a nice 13 point lead , Feo defensive pressure has to be commended & they are still very much in the hunt !!

Same here .... But were not completely out of it at all. Some very very good signs so far & can someone tell me if there is anything wrong with Des Junior ??? Hardly been sighted in the 2nd quarter

While we're still in the hunt at the moment, you get the feeling that Port could pretty easily kick away. We got a few clearances from the centre in that quarter, but ports midfield is running forward very well and creating alot of oppertunities.
Pav, Headland, Clive and Cookie need to lift for us to be a chance in the second half.
Happy to be close, but could have been closer at HT.
The delivery into the forward line is leaving a little to be desired. Been a lot of "kick in hope" stuff. Schammer sorted that out a bit...good footy brain that kid.
Having said that, 13 points at half time I can live with. Game still in the balance, neither team playing that well.

3rd quarter will tell the story on who brings home the bacon- It is vital Freo kick the 1st 2 goals , If they fail to do that Ports crowd will be into the game. The mullet sporting toothless port fans are sure to be drunk by now

I think it will come down to who has the most run left in them...I hate to say it, but Port look pretty 'fit'.

Both teams exerting huge amounts of pressure. The game is very easy on the eye.

I reckon he has to be put at CHB. Headland I think has to be put on the wing we need someont to kick the ball long into our forward line

I don't think I want to lose. Funny how much better it feels to win, when you get used to the idea :)

Id stick Pavlich down back personally as the first option though at some time I would like to see him up forward.
It seems where slipping back into old habits, making bad decisions and unable to hit targets.

The backline has been doing alright, but there hasn't been anywhere near enough pressure in the midfield or across the forward line. We're really missing a roving forward like farmer in this game.
But with the amount of ball Port are getting into their forward line and the number of clearances they are getting, I'm starting to worry that this game could be a real blowout.

Couldnt have said it any better FreoDocker .
Freo really have to finish out this game now...We have to have a little respectability in the scoreboard and some players really have to look at themselves
