Didn't really have an interest in footy until freo were formed and have supported them ever since.

Being a youngster with no real knowledge for the game i just used to go for who ever was caning it along that year.
A bandwaganeer if u will.

I supported the eagles and I am proud of it. I always knew i would have to revert to my original love when a fremantle team was formed but I throughly enjoyed the eagles sticking it to those vics. And I still love em, just not as much as freo. :D

Old East, and yes the Seagulls(rats of the sky, living of refuse, rubbish tip rats), but I always knew it was temporary.

Went to WAFL games regularly and was a member of East Freo only a half arsed follower of the girls until we got our own team.

One question for you Docketor & other pre Freo Egirl fans. Did you or did you not get drunk when WCE won there flags ???

I still went to WAFL games (still go to the odd S.Freo home game)but being west australian i watched eagles on TV but never went to any games and to compare the passion i have for freo now i would not have considered myself a eagles supporter.Eagles were basicly a freo side any way.

no i didnt get drunk,South freo's win in 97 was 100 times more meaningfull than any of the eagles flags

Actually I was in Melbourne when the seagulls started. Before that when asked by Vics what team I followed I used to say I dont follow this regional stuff but in the real competition I follow East Freo. I found my self trapped by my ridicule of "this second rate VFL" thing when the seagulls started and kind of fell ino it.

In the VFL, North Melbourne due to alot of the W.A. talent that had graced Arden St.

Being a Black Ducks supporter but having lived in the Port City for around 8 years, when Freo came in, it was a foregone conclusion that I was going to jump into the Freo cauldron.

Collingwood. Went to a few Toaster games out of curiosity. Was waiting for Freo salvation.

Yeah... have to admit it was the weavils.... But i would also sprout to anyone who would listen "if you took all the Freo boys out of this team and started a Freo Footy Club in the AFL... we'd kick some serious backside...."
Was a serial South Freo supporter... every Saturday afternoon during the late 70s and early 80s down at Freo Oval, banging on the sponsors signs, yelling "Up the mighty Bulldogs", and being so quick to retort to anyone who had the gall to shout "up the Swans" or "up the Tigers" with
"Yeah - right up 'em..."
Also must admit that i did get pretty drunk when the Weavils won in '92 (a few too many at The Newport - any excuse really), but nothing quite so similar in '94 having only just recently given birth.
Whilst still in hopspital, husband was given the job of going to register new baby's birth and organising birth certificate for said baby. Husband thought he do the kid (a girl) a favour and drop by the offices of the new Freo Footy Club and buy a Family Membership.
Thus new daughter was a member of the Dockers even before she was an official legal person. Dockers membership certificate before a birth certificate... not a bad achievement I reckon.
And said daughter is now (almost) 9 - loves and adores the Dockers, and thinks Byron Schammer is just "so-o-o-o-o-o cute!"

in addition to being a dockers supporter i am a supporter of west coast, claremont, the manjimup imperials, the wildcats, the western warriors and the glory.

when i was a kid i had a poster of mike ellis, geoff marsh and woosha holding their respective national trophies, which were all in WA at the time :)

Had a soft spot for the Crows but they were never 'my' club and I never had real passion for them. Always followed my SANFL club.

After moving to Perth I finally found an AFL team to get involved with.
