Would it be stupid to consider Ben Rutten for selection this week? He is coming off a 5-6 week lay off with broken thumb. I feel that we are in desperate need of talls especially if Clarke doesn't come up.

Prior to being injured his form with Westies has been solid. I wouldn't mind selecting him if Clarke fails fitness test. He could come on for a little while, when McGregor is giving Biglands a breather.

Thoughts??????

Debuting a young player short on match fitness? Ummm... no. :) He needs to get his confidence up in the SANFL first.

I think Rutten could be a good chance this week.

Although I caught the end of the sanfl match today and Ron Fuller was singing the prasies of Hentschel today. Could he be pushing for selection??

hmmm... dunno. He didnt really look ready for AFL when he debuted earlier in the season. Will be interesting to see who they will pick though...

They made specific mention of him because they moved him into a new position and said how well he played!

I know I didn't dream it!!! :D

I know I didn't dream it!!! :D Ah thats why. Last week he started off the bench and was brought on after half time to play CHB. Picked up 9 possesions and took 4 marks. Maybe they played him at CHB again to get some form because he has struggled in the last month.;)

Possibly! It was something they seemed quite pleased with. :)

Yes, he spent the day at CHB, took quite a few marks, most of which were uncontested though, used the ball quite well, and gave plenty of rebound.

If he were selected against the Dees, he may match up well on Russell Robertson. This could free Mcgregor to forward line and ruck duties in the forward half.

Desperate times call for desperate measures!!
