I am curious how would the people on the Essendon board react to the Idea of Mark Williams coaching Essendon?
I ask this and as far as I am concerned the following comment was just made in conversation but a mate said that he had some Essendon person (mate does not know him) claimed that Mark Williams would be Essendon's next coach.
Personally I do not see it happening.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'd get carded for avoiding the swear filter, the amount of f-bombs I'd be dropping right now along with the "HELL NO" would be off the charts.

Bomberblitz rumor eh?
No this came from a person I see at the footy, he said some guy in an Essendon suit just said it in conversation.
I personally do not believe it will happen and don't want it to happen but I was interested in what others though of coco wlliams.

People at Essendon used to say the same thing about Neale Daniher and Mark Harvey.
AFL clubs now have 100+ employees and the same number of match day staff.
There are people that work in and around footy clubs that are so far disconnected from the board and senior management that their inside knowledge comes from SEN.
Unless the man in the suit was Ian Robson, I wouldn't worry too much.

Got over this rumour a month ago.
Would have got a very different result in the poll a month ago as well.

Don't see any reason to close it, just saying that we had this rumour go around last month. The panel was supposed to be Williams coaching, with Hird, Lloyd, Wellman and Scotty Burns his assistants.
Hell no. Knights is doing a good job.
Agreed. Knighta is doing fine and we don't really need nor want that idiot coaching us, thanks anyway :thumbsd:

No thank you, he is as batty as sheedy and like all coaches, over rated.

No ****ing way.
Knights is all we need, and will be the one that leads us to our next premiership.

Everytime we doubt Knights, he comes back with avengance. I get the feeling that although he was a vanilla midfielder, he is one resilient cookie when it comes to coaching.

Well, he didn't even get a kick on Friday night, so we might as well use him as a coach. Some of the guys need coaching for set shot kicking.
New coach = new ambition = new drive/hunger to win premierships.
Knights has a gameplan he's trying to perfect which takes time and slowly we're seeing the fruits of it coming through. Williams, on the otherhand, is an old dog with very few new tricks. Wouldn't be as determined as Knights for success and has nothing to prove as a coach and therefore would feel less pressure to find a means to an end.
It was Knights or Hardwick. We made our decision and we'll stick with it.

Will say yes, only as an assistant though
Mark Williams is exactly what we need.
He has been great for Port's on field cutlure.
Talented but flakey bunch of pricks that you cannot rely on to work hard. They would be infuriating to support.
I won't even bother trying to desrcibe how pissed I would be because there is no way EFC will chase Mark Williams. Seems to me that he has become post 2001 Sheedy about 15 years quicker than it took Sheedy.

Don't want him, don't like him at all. I'm liking Knights as coach at the moment.
