I know this may seem hypocrtitical, but I am making a call to arms...

I slag your team off as a pimply kid having fun on the net. This guy gets a big contract, is a middle aged man, and wants your kids to fail, he wants player's careers to fall short. So let send him into retirement. A pertition will most likely be made soon.
Yet to know anyone that likes him...

No article... but from here we can make the news...
There's a thread on the Collingwood board, and the footy fourth estate, with people begging to sign a pertition.
Channel 10 are bunch of idiots for employing this guy to not only commentate but to also host a tv show. Flog of the highest order.

I dont like this. Collingwood asking Essendon to help? Sounds like "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" to me.
"Give the big man a go in the ruck"

He is a ball bag of the highest order.

He is a bit of a tossbag but I have enjoyed the banter between him and Lloyd.

I do enjoy Walls being wrong. Particularly about Essendon. Sacking him would lose this.
"Look I will say that Essendon do have some promising young defenders. Cale Hooker, David Myers (the guy who had been playing reserves after being rubbish in the seniors?).... Courtney Dempster (who?)."

I will support any action to remove this pustule from the airwaves; however I think the chances of any success are somewhere around zero, but good on you for having a crack paddywhackers

Don't mind him.
He had an obvious problem with Sheedy, so did many.
He hasn't been overly critical since Knights.
Still a tool, but not the worst.

duno, become a bit fond of the bearded clam, reminds me of the strange uncle we'd only see at xmas when we were kids, sitting in the corner mumbling to himself while scratching his sack, weird having them around but miss em when their gone:(

Not so sure about that. I still remember him saying he would resign if Essendon beat Hawthorn the first time last year. Spewing no one drafted up a binding agreement on that one!!

Did you tip us?
I know I didn't.
every commentator has their fave teams and bias..
walls is just a douche.. who knows less than nothing about football.. sometimes I feel sorry for him.. must be embarrassing.
And the constant cracks at lloydy.. LOL.
Fev is the new lloyd for his 2nd fave comment (behind "throw him in the ruck") "thats the problem with full forwards is they can't play anywhere else"... yeah and thank christ for that.. otherwise fev wouldn't have won the watch off his own boot and dragged maxwell out of the quarterback position.
Flog. Idiot. Must hold some photos of channel 10 execs.

Of course I did...
OK maybe I didn't, but to go as far as saying I would resign if Essendon won, meaning we had absolutely no chance, shows how little respect he had for us.. And the way he constantly asks why Fletcher isn't playing on the opposition forwards frustrate the hell out of me..
Still better than Macolm Blight though.. ;)

I completely agree, sack the prick.
Can't stand him one bit...
Walls understanding of the strategies in the modern era is akin to the cavemen era.

Hi guys... Just thought I would forward this relavant post...
On One Week at a time last night Walls in the quick questions they ask Walls at the end of the night a question popped up about Collingwood and after Walls answered Steve Quartermain said "You really hate Collingwood don't you?" Everyone laughed including Walls (a little embarrassed he had been busted/ outed on TV) and he responded with "No... I don't hate Collingwood"... The very next question Walls was asked was "Who do you hate more, Collingwood or Essendon?" Walls needed to think for a while, and then responded "Essendon".
The fact these questions are actually being asked and answered on a footy show amazed me. How can any football broadcasting organization support a guy with such blantant hatred towards clubs. It evidently obvious and obviously undeniable when his fellow colleagues are cracking jokes and putting him on the spot about it on practically his own TV show.
His single mindedness, biased and hatred towards certain clubs and players became boring and obviously affected the credability of shows like On the couch, that he was no longer a part of the show - I would love to see whatever this thread is trying to achieve to push through with this idea and petition and attempt to stop this idiot ruining football broadcasting of games of all nature.
Piss this guy off already.
LOL I actually think he doesn't give a shit about his bias. Well at least he is honest I guess... He still has to go.

He should go for being shit at his job. But then again, so should half the football media. Doesn't seem to do any research, and often makes dramatic statements on shaky factual basis. And seems to have an odd obsession with men with large thighs.
Same as Eddie when he was commentating... my issue wasn't that he knew more about Pies players... it was that he didn't bother learning about the other 15 clubs. They get paid for a reason and I don't think it's hard to actually do some research into debutantes above and beyond what's put in front of them an hour before the game.
Two words for Wallsy, Geriatric ****

These guys get paid what, 6 figures, to comment on Aussie Rules Football. You'd think the least they could do is watch as many of the 8 games per week, even if it's only say 6, week after week. Do that for half a season and you'd know nearly every player.
Most die hard supporters do this; why can't people in that very profession do as much?
It's why rarities such as Nathan Buckley and Matthew Lloyd are worth their weight in gold; being so fresh out of the game, they know just about every listed player in the league, and can actually something more than a definitive "Ahh, no" when asked whether they think Port Adelaide can make the eight (see: Robert Walls' question time on OWAAT).

Quartermain's pretty hopeless with his footy knowledge too. He made the statement 2 weeks ago that Jonathan Brown "is not the player he used to be, he's a bit past it". WTF? 3 best and fairests in a row, leading the Coleman before his groin issues this year and still around the 3+ goals a game mark. When Darcy pointed this out, Quarters looked pretty sheepish and said "well you've just destroyed my argument". No shit - perhaps think things through before you say them!

Don't care about his bias so much as his complete lack of anything useful to say. Should go, but don't care really, cos I stopped taking notice of him, Blight, Sheehan, etc, etc a long time ago.

Wallsy is a flog of the highest order. When there is a move that worked he says "I really like that move" alternatively when a move doesn't work "I would never have made that move", he is too much of a band wagon rider when players/teams are going well he sings the praises but if they go off the boil, he turns on them in the blink of an eye
sack him as soon as you can
