I'm having a look at the scores in the Victorian Grade Finals, what's happening down there.

Essendon all out for 138.
St Kilda were 3/113, now they're 9/133. they lost 6/15. as i've mentioned a few times - its the pressure chasing runs (especially in a final).

In the Sydney Grade Final, Easts were dismissed for 187, St George are 0/10.
It will be difficult for us to win consdiering the Saints batting line up, but after the VCA Final, i'm not ever giving up hope.

Final score from the VCA Final was 9/133 for St Kilda. The number 9 and 11 blocked out the final 3 overs for maidens.

I don't think those two will be sleeping to well.

I've mentioned a lot about pressure when chasing runs lately, so i might just bring up a bit about chasing runs bringing out the best in you.

In the Perth Grade Final in 1997/98. I can't remember the name of the two teams in the final. But the team batting first got about 320 in the first innings.

The team batting second was 9/100 and had Brad Olroyd (i think) and someone else come out to bat. Between the two, they hadn't even brough up 50 runs for the whole season, so needless to say, the couldn't bat. But, in one of the most unbeliavable matches ever, the two batsmen (no 10 and no 11) put on 220-odd runs for the final wicket to win the match.

So, it works both ways, but pressure gets to the batsmen and they crack, more often than two tailenders put on big stands to win the match.
