Sad but true...had a conversation in the office about a possible Neighbours compilation, seeing as so many popstars have come from the show.
You could have:
Kylie
Jason
Craig McLachlan
The Blakeney Twins
Stefan Denis (Did he play Paul?)
Holly
Delta Goodrem
Annie Jones
This is all I could think of at the time, there maybe a few more.
Then you'd finish the compile off with the orignal Neighbours theme song by Barry Crocker.
I'm susprised the Neighbours marketeers haven't cottoned on to this one already.
Anyone else wants to contribute, we could talk about other soapie stars too.
Remember Bruce Samazan from E Street for a start, Number 96's Abigail and Je'taime (spelling?).
There are plenty of others, I'll leave the rest up to you guys.

Think again.I walked into my local music shop last week and out front was a CD and DVD of Neighbours songs.Then I saw the TV ad yesterday with Toadie & the other dweeby kids flogging the CD/DVD.
Also included is Angry Anderson singing Suddenley :eek:

Home and Away have already put out at least 2 albums, possibly 3.
I know there was the Sounds of Summer Bay but they just played music from the Diner.
They should have included more songs from the 1988 series "Have you ever been alone", plus all the goodies from Frente.

Jubjub....please excuse me, I live in the country. we probably wont get that advertisement for another two years. :D
As for the CD/DVD is it a similar compliation to the one i've discussed (former neighbours stars who have released songs) or is it songs featured in the program like Home and Aways albums have been.
While we're at it....keep the soapie stars converted to pop stars coming.
Were Stefan Dennis and the Blackney twins song's ever released in Australia ? I have a feeling the Pom's were the only ones to suffer.
BTW,Stefan Dennis is going to pop up in an episode of The Bill in a few months. :eek:

no those two songs were def. released in Oz. I remember seeing the cassingles (there's a blast from the past).
wow - stefan appearing in the Bill? Must find out which episode asnd make note of it in my tv column.

I am sure Guy Pearce had a crack at releasing a single..."Cry Wolf" I think it was called.
Bizarre the trvial things that can stick in your mind.

Can I recall the name of a flop single from Guy Pearce from over a decade ago. YES.
