After eight weeks on the sidelines, star Bomber Adam Ramanauskas could be a surprise inclusion for Essendon’s clash with the Kangaroos at The Dome this Friday night. Ramanauskas has not played since the Bombers’ Round 3 loss to Carlton – surgery to remove a benign tumour from his upper body sidelining him. But his rehabilitation is now complete. “Ramanauskas will play this week – whether we play him in the firsts or seconds I’m not quite sure,” Sheedy said.
“The doctor has told us he is okay to play this week and it is up to us whether he plays in the first or seconds. We will have to have a look at how he trains tonight,” Sheedy said. The return of Ramanauskas will be a morale boost for the Bombers – whether it be in the seniors or the VFL side. His surgery was quite extensive and while the results were good, it has been a slow process for him to get back towards a fitness level that would enable him to play.
Good to see that Rama is doing well!
Would be great to see him back on friday night against the Roos.
Dont give your hopes hope though,Sheeds might place him in,then have a last minute change...GO DONS AND WELCOME BACK RAMA!!!!
