After eight weeks on the sidelines, star Bomber Adam Ramanauskas could be a surprise inclusion for Essendon’s clash with the Kangaroos at The Dome this Friday night. Ramanauskas has not played since the Bombers’ Round 3 loss to Carlton – surgery to remove a benign tumour from his upper body sidelining him. But his rehabilitation is now complete. “Ramanauskas will play this week – whether we play him in the firsts or seconds I’m not quite sure,” Sheedy said.

“The doctor has told us he is okay to play this week and it is up to us whether he plays in the first or seconds. We will have to have a look at how he trains tonight,” Sheedy said. The return of Ramanauskas will be a morale boost for the Bombers – whether it be in the seniors or the VFL side. His surgery was quite extensive and while the results were good, it has been a slow process for him to get back towards a fitness level that would enable him to play.

Good to see that Rama is doing well!
Would be great to see him back on friday night against the Roos.
Dont give your hopes hope though,Sheeds might place him in,then have a last minute change...GO DONS AND WELCOME BACK RAMA!!!!
:D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :)

It is certainly great news, but, personally, I'd give him game time for Bendigo instead of rushing him straight back in

I'm with pazza, give him a game this weekend here in Bendigo. Get some match time under his belt first.

Yeah ... may as well get him primed with a losing mentality first up. He'll then be in good shape for a re-call to the seniors.

Yeah I'm not the only one who agrees with that,
but I'm sure he can play better than some of the other Bomber boy's at the moment.

Go Rams and GO DONS!!!!

Go through the VFL Ramanauskas, the VFL is good for you, you need match fitness;):p (Fletcher should go through the VFL too, he needs match fitness as well)

Go Roos

i think the entire north midfield deserves a rest in the twos... they've been playing with so much heart for all these years, and with the emotional rollercoaster of last week (kingy took em to luna park) not to mention the jason mccartney incident, they must be buggered.

I hope he plays VFL, so he can play his comeback match against Geelong, which I'm going to! I can't miss out! :p

Ohh I'm excited for him :)

Good to see Rama back, and Fletch too.

Not sure if they will actually play given the ins and outs that we have each week.

I don't think his fit enough for a ull seniors game. It's abit off bs again. Watch about 5 players pull out at the last minute due to 'rolling his ankle walking to the ground from the car park' or the classic 'food poisoning' excuse.
