He is starting to show the footy smarts that I always new he had.:footy:

He now seems fit and confident..... and he has learnt a trick or two at AFL . His decision making has now arrived at AFL standard.

Make no mistake he is a vital part of our new forward structure.

Any of you who have watched him in the TAC Cup at the Northern Knights , also playing for Vic Metro and dare I say it even earlier when he was playing for Yarrambat. Would not be surprised with what he is now STARTING to show.

I coached against him in the Diamond Valley League some years ago and he was a bloody handfull. I also know the kid and he is a quality person.:thumbsu:

Lets hope he stays at West Coast as his best footy is well and truly infront of him.

I am aware that he has his detractors:( on this forum.

So I am ready for the snipping that will come from the grassy knoll.

Benny Mac. You are progressing well.

And as I have always said to my mates we will never see the best from him until he has his Law Degree. That time is now approaching.

Great game. Always felt he should be a part of our team. Kicks goals but now is starting to show some defensive work and team stuff which is excellent.

LeCras, Kennedy, Brown, McKinley and two smalls should be our main forward setup.

Always had faith that he could reach this sort of potential.

Saw him at uni the about a month ago, i didn't think he was such a big boy, he looks so short but he really isn't. Maybe its just my lack of height...

Is very deceptive in height. Looked about the same height as Mackie.

Only listed as 184cms, 1cm taller than Lecras. Surely he's taller than that.

Driving past Yarrambat oval, hearing his character at Ivanhoe, I'm pleased to see him developing amongst the likes of more highly regarded Ebert & Swift.
Looks the goods to me. When does he finish law. Send him to work for Siera, an Saints premiership player, a Subi premiership player ... think Subi !!

Has shown some decent form for Werribee so far this year, kicking a few bags including one of six against the Box Hill back in round five.

Has had good enough to warrant getting a game at AFL level for North Melbourne, but not sure where he can fit into their side at the moment to be honest.

Didn't play in Werribee's previous game due to an injury at North Melbourne training and we had a bye last week.

Playing alongside Cameron Pedersen, Ben kicked four goals and was a solid contributor for the Tigers.

Has he been playing FF ben, or further up the ground like Micale was doing with him at East Perth?

He's been playing at full forward for us at Werribee and doing very well so far, not sure what more he has to do to get a game for North Melbourne to be honest.

Has kicked 24 goals from 7 appearances for The Tigers so far this year at an average of 3.43 per game and includes hauls of 6,4 and 6 in his last three outings.

*snicker* :D

I bid the guy no disrespect, but a smile came over my face when I looked at McKinley's stats for North Melbourne so far:

2 games for a sum total of 11 disposals, 0 goals, 0 contested marks and just 1 mark inside 50, and he's just been bounced out of their best 22 again.

Last year, I honestly thought Ben was going to lead their goal-kicking this year. I'm glad I was wrong.

It's amazing how bad he's become after his awesome start.

Just can't get an opportunity at North Melbourne at the moment, has been a solid performer with us at Werribee this year and will poll well in our b & f too. :thumbsu:
