NEW AFL franchise Team Greater Western Sydney (GWS) has secured the services of Leeton-Whitton young gun Kurt Aylett.
The talented 18-year-old signed what is believed to be a four-year contract with Team GWS which will officially be announced early next week.
It caps off a huge few days for the new franchise after it snared one of Australian sport's biggest names, Israel Folau, on Tuesday.
Leeton-Whitton learnt the news on Thursday night and made an announcement after the club's training session.
Aylett will join fellow Southern NSW boys, Culcairn's Sam Schulz and Finley's Mark Whiley at the club.
Wagga football legend Paul Kelly was the only staff member from Team GWS available last night and said the news did not come as a surprise.
"I know we've been talking to him," Kelly said.
"We're pretty keen to get him. He's a pretty good player."
Aylett was in Sydney with his NSW-ACT teammates last night and was unable to comment until an official announcement was made...
Lucky, lucky team I can tell you that...
