Just have some questions and suggestions WCE2000. Ill start off with the questions, what program are you using to run to this whole competition. Secondly how many players are allowed on one team?

"batting:
If a batsmen scores:
0, his average goes down by 3
1-9, his average goes down by 2
10-19, his average goes down by 1
20-49, his average stays the same
50-99, his average goes up by 2
>100, his average goes up by 4"

Ok my suggestion, its perhaps too easy for a batsmens average to go down and never recover. A batsmen can be fairly consistent scoring around 40 each match but never rise from it! Perhaps a slightly better method would be:

If a batsmen scores:
0, his average goes down by 3
1-9, his average goes down by 2
10-19, his average goes down by 1
20-39, his average stays the same
40-59, his average goes up by 1
60-89, his average goes up by 2
90-129, his average goes up by 3
130->, his average goes up by 4

This way, batsmen would be able to recover from form slumps more easily. Anyway I think something has to be done to fix up this niggle.

??? I dont get it. Shouldnt a batting average just be done like normal?

How many runs you have divided by how many games you have played??

Oh so whats your batting average jod? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thats why mate, for a batsmen your average is pretty bad so this way it still enables you to get a good score.

Jod:

There are 2 batting averages on the game and 2 bowling averages.

The batting and bowling averages you see are the ones in the statistical sectoin.

But there is another set of batting and bowling averages which i put into the copmuter to determine the form of a player.

Is he the bloke paid to keep the bent coppers quiet in an underlying BFCC match-fixing scandal? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
