I want to see Melbourne take the Crows on, be pro-active & spirited all day long.

I want a fast start, the Crows are under the pump & an early deficit could see the locals get impatient.

I want Clint Bizzell to start up forward.

I want Nicholson put in the ruck if Jamar & Jolly struggle with Rhett Biglands.

I want Chris Lamb to play at Centre Half Back.

I want to stop being embarrassed to be a Melbourne supporter!

I want the Dees to put in an effort like the Storm did tonight at Penrith against the Panthers, after being flooged last week against Souths.

I really think they can do it.
Away from home and away from the pressure and with the Crows riddled with injury, a win for the Dees looks likely.

A few hard hits and tackles on the Crows wouldn't go astray!;)

Unfortunately for you BT, not much came true for you. Dees got a shocking run by the umpires, but having said that, the main problems was the poor skill level. IMO, Johnstone was your only decent midfielder & Green made the most of limited opportunities. Apart from that, not too many positives for the Dees & the break has probably come at the right time!

If it wasn't for the umpires we might only have lost by 9 goals

This season is worse than 1999. We're only a couple of epic hammerings from reaching 1997 levels.

Gutless performance. Disappointing because we showed we can still play in patches.

Brad Green was good. Attacked the ball like he wanted it for a change. Willo was good playing as almost a centre half forward beffore going off.

Armstrong, Thompson and Whelan have to be started and played in the midfield for the rest of the year.

Heffernan has gotta be dropped.

He's a reciever which is well and good if we have plenty of ball winners but we don't. He waits on the outside of packs, rarely wins a contest, seems unwilling to put himself between his opponent and the ball to get it and doesnt look to be overly quick. His one asset is his disposal but he takes forever to get rid of it.

He is a reciever, but many people don't realise that he lays a heap of tackles. Always has plenty of time to get rid of it because he is bloody impossible to catch (awesome evasive skills). He is the quickest player in our midfield.

Weak effort!

Can't understand that performance. They look like they're playing under pressure but we really have nothing to lose.

If were going to start dropping recievers then only Godfrey & McDonald are safe.

Take away 2 minutes of Johnno's performance & he was diabolical! At least Heffernan tackles.

I'd say only Godfrey, McDonald, Robertson & Brown are the only players who haven't slipped significantly from last years effort.

Sides need their recievers but they need to be strong in other areas. Johnstone can break open packs and turn a game around in minutes. Heffernan can't. He looks afraid of contact, won't put his head over the ball and avoids all contests which seems to give the impression he's "evasive".

To prove my point I will do a case study. Picture this: The ball's in dispute in the middle of the ground and there are 5 players an equal distance away from the ball, one of them is Heffernan. Without knowing any of the 4 players he's up against I wouldn't hesitate in laying all my money on Heffernan not gettting the ball. Choose any other Melbourne player except for Jeff White and they'd be a 50/50 chance. In a game where winning contests and the disputed ball is crucial it's just not good enough.

Damn I'd love to put that into practice! What a training drill, say Heff, Whitey, TJ, Green & Godders?

Godders would be firing off the handpass before the others knew the drill had started!

BTW, I'm struggling to remember the last time TJ split open a pack. Actually can't remember any of 'em managing that of late:(
