View Full Version : Matty Carr reported
What are everyones thoughts on the Matty Carr incident? I wasn't near the action so I wasn't sure, but when I saw the replay it looked as if he was definitely going for the ball and connected with Lings head with his bicep? Maybe forearm? Only saw the replay at the ground so I'm not sure.
I got the impression it was a free kick but not suspendable?
Also, while on the subject, should Cameron Mooney go for one or both of his indiscretions?

Were talking about the AFL tribunal here so it may well be a dodgy outcome. But Mathew Carr only had eyes for the ball & should be let off. I just hope the tribunal dont take into acount Josh Carr's record here

I don't think he deserves to go but having said that, I think he'll get a week.

After having watched the reply, the contact wasn't late and he seemed to have his eyes on the ball which was within a reasonable vicinity. Unlike Buckley's 'strike' on Kellaway a few years ago, his bicep came into contact with Ling's head, not his fist.
He should get off but with the inconsistency of the tribunal nowadays, anything can happen.

They will say he came in late and he will get suspended for 1 or 2 weeks, but I don't think he will deserve it....

ITS THE SHAMBLEZ!!!
wasn't intentional but it was reckless. He'll get a week for sure.
Yep, agree that he'll probably go simply because the tribunal is totally inconsistent. If he wasn't reported on the night there was no way he would have got called up on video though.

He'll be let off. In his defense all Freo have to do is show the Not Guilty Buckley tapes. I cant see how he will go . there was nothing reckless. he wasnt late - it was all body contact and no clenched fist !!.
