View Full Version : Dare to dream - could we be heading for 5 in a row?

Our next 5 games are:
* Hawks at the G - tough, they're in great form but have not met any top shelf teams in their 5 straight wins.
* Adelaide at AAMI - tough again, not because of Ade, but because it's us on the road.
* Melbourne at the G - we play our best we win, we don't, who knows?
* WCE at the dome - see Melbourne.
* North at the dome - see WCE.
There's two possible scripts; we stand up and beat the Hawks and Crows, we set ourselves with a bit of confidence to beat the other three. Then we're looking pretty sweet going into round 18; 10 wins, 4 rounds to play.
The other scenario is we falter in the next two rounds and we'll be looking real shaky for the next three. Might be facing the Saints in round 18 with as few as 6 wins and only two winnable ones left.
Bring on the Hawks! You gotta love this sort of pressure! Go Bombers!

****in hope so
You never know with footy. But we have to take full advantage of this relatively easy run and win all of them if we are to mount a serious finals challenge.

No way, not a statement of confidence. A statement that the next two games are very important.
No idea if we will succeed or not, but we are at a cross roads. Just sayin'.

Hawthorn I expect a win along with the Eagles
North can be a bogey team for us
And to beat Adelaide and Melbourne we need to play 100%
Looking forward to playing you guys in a while, we seem to generally go okay against you guys.

They will kill us in the middle, we have gotten them at good times before, this one will be ugly. I'll take a loss between 20-30 points as a "win" this week. No Hille is going to hurt us big time this week, that was one area we could have stopped their midfielders.

Yup! It's not easy being a Bomber amongst a family of Roo's supporters, they're sort of my second team until we play each other.

Yep, Paddy and Hooker (he'll be back, right?) will have the measure of their rucks. The trouble starts when the ball hits the deck. Need to shut down Hodge and Rioli.
Oh yeah, and Hawthorn are shit.
Because they're better looking, I'm guessing.
Not with this stud muffin playing:

Yeah... nah...
We won't win the next five games but the North game is the one they won't drop.
By Round 17 any sort of very short lived 2010 North 'renaissance' will be well and truly over. You won't drag us down to your level two years in a row.
Essendon's superior young KPP to do the job this time plus a bit of midfield zip. Fingers crossed Petrie & Hale are back for this one.

skipper and renouf haven't been playing too bad lately, i've watched some of their games recently.
paddy is going to need to do it mostly by himself, and he's going to need to play very well.
