Hilfenhaus no wickets yet, but has bowled 7 overs for 17. Obviously a spin friendly pitch this.

Bloody hell, impressive figures for O'Keefe.

Bloody hell, impressive figures for O'Keefe.

Extremely spin friendly by the looks of the scorecard. O'Keefe has shown his all-round credentials with the bat as well.

I hope the Sri Lankans show some gumption in the second innings. Ben Hilfenhaus needs some overs under his belt.

Senanayake's career numbers are sexy. Wonder when he'll get a shot with the first team.

Wow Hilfy with the bat?

Wow Hilfy with the bat?

He must have been practicing his batting while he couldn't practice his bowling.

He is also aware that if you can hold a bat, the selectors will look more kindly on a bowler. He's had a fair few overs this innings which is good.

42 and 50 from Hilfy with the bat. He's not quite bunny standard but he's pretty close, he must have had a bit of luck on the tonk.

Having watched him with the Aussie team he is not as bunny standard as I thought originally, he's not rubbish like Tait for example, and he doesn't look really scared or anything, but he would need luck. But bless his heart he hit two sixes in that 50.

Hilfenhaus with the last 5 wickets.

Coming into this match his highest f-c score was 34. So he has beaten his best f-c innings twice in the one match. :D :thumbsu:

I can't be bothered going back and looking it up, but I know he has been involved in quite a few decent lower order partnerships with Tassie in recent years. So he isn't a complete rabbit.

It would be good if he has actually worked on his batting.

He can hang around at shield level. I reckon he has held up an end for Geeves a few times. When he came in at test level though, you were never confident he'd stay around for long, like a Siddle or Hauritz can do.

Good to see he has taken a few wickets, the bowling side of things was a little barren until today. Not that you would expect otherwise after the long lay off. The wickets have went in runs in both games. O'Keefe, George, Hilfy having a day out each.

Fingers crossed Khawaja can ton up ahead of the real test series v Pakistan. Also hoping for Matty Wade to get amongst the runs and show the selectors what he can do.

Aus 4/402 declared.

Bailey 154* off 138. 14 4s and 6 6s. Tidy effort after the opposition has been rolled for 78.

Cowan made a hundred as well and Khawaja got a 50.

Australia A best Sri Lanka A by 27 runs in the only T20 match of the tour.

Wade opened and scored 80 runs off 50 balls. Pattinson, McDonald and Drew all took 2 wickets each.

Quite suprised by Wades innings, but a good start by the Victorian duo

James Pattinson seems to be playing well, hope he stays fit this year

I went to the T20 today, was pretty boring really. Aus A seemed to be cruising, they didn't take many risks and never got out of first gear.

Sri Lanka's fielding was nothing short of atrocious. If anyone else was there I was sitting with the ********s with the Vuzuvella's :D

Wasn't me though, I'm too spastic to use them and they were pissing me off all day

Sri Lanka A win their first game of the tour with a 5 wicket win in the 1st one day match.

No real stand outs for Australia A. Haberfield got 2 wickets and Birt scored 54.

A few for Sri Lanka A though. 5 wickets for Perera and 81 not out for Mendis.

I'm not surprised. Not the greatest batting/bowling attack. More specifically the bowling attack. They'll lose more than they win I'd suggest.

The 2nd one day game ends in a tie! Doherty hits a 4 off the last ball of the match off Perera to save the game for Australia A.
