Anyone catch this show? Or too busy watching Masterchef? :D
They are gonna lose some serious money coz they tell the contestants what the challenges are gonna be and let them practice everyday before the show!

But then again they are prob expecting it to only go for a season or something, run out of game ideas.. and cash.

Wonder if anyone will reach the million $ game? Has to be something incredibly impossible...

"You must achieve female orgasm within 60secs" :p

That's not impossible.

With the right tongue technique, it can be achieved.

I IQ'd it out of curiosity.
Wasn't expecting anything and it pretty much lived up to my expectations. ;)

Silly, annoying games that would only be tolerable if you're shitfaced and even then they'd keep one's attention span for about 10 minutes.

The very American style over the top reactions from the contestants and audience comes across as scripted and unrealistic and simply won't sit well with Australian audiences given it's just not our style when it comes to game shows.

Hell no, do not watch that shit. :thumbsd:

As for M2WI, nah didnt do much for me. Saw maybe the last 5 minutes of it, that lady was so close winning 50 grand, if only that ping pong ball stayed in the glass.

Yeah prob wont tune in again.

The ads were enough to put me off watching it.

Its just a more subtle version of Deal or No Deal. No skill, brains or talent, Just random ass luck is needed. They have targetted the Deal or No Deal audience though and it wouldnt surprise me if Minute to Win it ends up at the 5:00 timeslot with the prize money seriously decreased

Exactly. The people in the ads made themselves look like complete idiots.

Whats interesting in some ways is that Channel 7 commissioned 2 new type games shows to be produced at the same time. One to be produced in Sydney (minute2winit) and other in Melbourne (Beat the Star).

The fact that they went with this one first does that say the Ch7 execs think MTWI is a better show than BTS?

Hard to see it lasting more than a few weeks.

A lot of the games have resembled each other and it all got very boring quickly, especially when they were halfway throught their time limit and you could see that they were no chance to win.

Lets hope there's some back up.

I thought it was great. At times it was idiotic (especially the fat man and the spaghetti and penne challenge) but other times it was genuine brain-numbing funny.
