Chris,

Want to know an interesting statistic?

Port have NEVER defeated the mighty saints in their history. (obviously not including the Ansett Cup)

I know you already know this, but it just seemed such a good time to bring it up again.

Carn the sainters!

St Kilda vs Port Adelaide since 1997

(Port scores first)

1997

Waverley - 61 v 126
FP 84 v 117

1998
Waverely 45 v 72

1999
Waverely 57 v 119

2000
Docklands 55 v 117

Fairly comprehensive wins to the Saints although all games in Melbourne except the last game of 1997...a match where Port were stuffed going into it after a long year and Port were 1 goal down at 3/4 time to be over run by a very good St Kilda.

A neat 32 goal win to Port should even things up a bit ;-)

we are due

ptw,

Quite a few of those Waverley matches were under lights and it is fair to say that the standard was not too good at all.

Still, it was great to turn up to a match that we were expected to win easily and do the job.

I don't think anyone is going to give us a hope in hell of winning on Saturday. It's the perfect opportunity to slip under everyones guard and keep our winning streak against Port going.

I'm not too worried about continuing the tradition of belting Port, & I'm not concerned if it's a scrappy, ugly match, I'll even force myself to put up with half a dozen dodgy umpiring decision.
I just want a win.

I agree Karnaby.

If we can have a win on Saturday, I wouldn't care what kind of match it is.

Just reminiscing over the cold, dewy nights at Waverley Park during the middle of winter. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif

Gee, Port fans are cocky now. Don't worry Saints fans, your time will come later in the year.

Make the most of your next encounter against Port as this could be your last year in the comp...What a feeble effort just watching you mugs piss your money up against the wall propping up a sub standard team makes you the laughing stock of the competition. How many times times have the team promised so much then only let you down... You Saint supporters really are worse than the team itself for being so naieve LOL...and the likes of Everitt and co are getting fat on the money they earn for producing nothing ....What Hicks...what morons!!
