Ladies, here is your chance to take over the footy!!!

The Box Hill Hawks Ladies Day Luncheon will be held on Sunday 11 July prior to the big game against the Northern Bullants.

The Ladies Day lunch will be a fun filled day and a great chance for the girls to catch up and enjoy a great day at the footy. Enjoy a delicious 2 course meal and beautiful wine while watching all the action from the magnificent surrounds of the new Pavilion facility.


Hawthorn CEO Stuart Fox will be guest speaker and tickets are only $60pp

Each female guest will receive a special gift on the day!!!

The Box Hill Hawks are very proud to announce a stellar line up of big name guests at his years Gala Auction:

PETER ROWSTHORN - is one of Australia's pre-eminent comedic actors and has starred in the award winning Kath & Kim series along with guest spots on the popular Thank God Your Here.

JOHN SILVESTER - John is the co-author of the famous Underbelly books and appears regularly on 3AW as "Sly of the Underworld". John will provide amazing insights into the tales of Melbourne's underworld gangland war......

Well, we talk up the good things so I suppose we should mention the ordinary...

My kids went today to 'Aqualink' gym in Box Hill where there was a Box Hill Hawks kids footy clinic my wife found out about on Monday. Only problem was the Box Hill Hawks forgot to turn up...

The Aqualink people found a lifesaver at the pool who agreed to run the clinic and the kids still had a good time!

An apology was communicated from Box Hill and there's been a vague promise of getting the kids to some matchday function later this year perhaps.

Anyway, no real harm done as the kids still enjoyed themselves but they'd want to be careful - if they repeated this kind of behaviour it's not going to do much for the footy club's reputation in the eyes of the mums and kids.

I agree Stemline that's not great, though I had no idea there was even a footy clinic happening.

I'd suggest writing to Box Hill formally and asking for a response in writing. I'm sure the club will value your feedback and set the wheels in motion for preventing this sort of thing in future. We're all human but it's unfortunate that this has occurred. Let us know how you get on.

Quick follow-up: Got an invite to bring the kids to the Rnd 16 v Geelong game at City Oval - free BBQ, quick footy clinic, meet & greet, tour and into the rooms before the game. A great response from the club, great outcome for the kids. :thumbsu:
