Would love to hear a report if anybody was there.

May head out tomorrow but not sure I assume none of the rams are playing as they played mid week & got torn a new one.

Maybe bringing to many blokes who have been involved at NSW/ACT level to GWS is a BIG mistake as from where I'm sitting they haven't done at great job with the RAMS.

But then they sign to "name coaches" who from all accounts contribute SFA to the development of footballers in the system

I saw the game at BoP on Saturday and the result was not pretty. They fielded a very small side. GWS was under the pump right from the start but stayed in it for the first quarter with some good old fashioned desperation from the backline. Even managed a couple of reasonable shots at goal. Second quarter showed them at their worst as they were beaten to the contest repeatedly and the opposition kicked about 9 goals. Sam Milne is a cracker, there is nothing of him but throws himself at the footy and opposition repeatedly as does Jed Anderson.

New bloke Hampton is a real excitement machine showing extreme pace and confidence to run. Watching him bounce the ball as he runs around an opposition player is heart in mouth stuff but it works so good on him.

Third quarter saw a turn around with some pride and determination being shown by all the boys and a real effort to stem the flow saw a much tighter game until a couple of late goals.

Last quarter continued in the same way for about 10 minutes but with a young and small team down to one on the bench saw the score blow out in time on. I had hoped to see the team a bit more competitive but from I can gather Bernasconi had been moved forward, Cooper was a bit down (seemed to play a few positions) from earlier reports but one really good run in last few minutes, Birch went well in backline and Collins good until injured. Dimery played better as the game went on but Milne was a good pick by coaches as best. Don't know his future as very small but hard and tough from Ganmain.

The score looked terrible but there is a huge difference in the boys best and worst periods of a game and with 12 in Rams plus Carey out what can you really expect. Apparently this is worse this week with another 4 or so in U16 Rams.

My understanding is the scholarships being signed up was part of the deal for the zoning and draft concessions but a few of them are a long way from GWS best 22. Having spoken to a couple of the boys they are wrapped in GWS coaching staff however i do hear mixed things about Rams coaches

Enjoy the game tomorrow whichever one you watch

Cheers mate that was quality.

Have liked anderson every time I see him has a real crack.

And milne is a gooden, thought the paper had dimmery as best with both anderson & milne plus new bloke hampton is it where is he from?

Yeh had a beer with abloke who knew people at parra last week while inter state & he seemed to have heard similar things re GWS coaches & rams "coaches", he reckons he has hardly seen them at any footy this year or last year & also said he had a mate who reckons ece are filthy a couple of their blokes can't seem to get alook in much the same with spitiri last year by all accounts.

You could drive yourself nuts tryin to figure what criteria those fools use.

Yeah sorry you are right Dimery did get the votes. Thought he might have had a crack for Rams but heard he had a bit of a slump just before final squad selected. Hampton from nowhere in the middle of NT apparently but can go.

Next week and the week after might paint a picture with first the U18 Rams then U16s coming back from Rams and NT selections. Must be getting close to just picking their best team as it appears everyone in squad must have had a go by now. Who will get picked is the question?

Must of been some form slump though there are a couple of blokes unlucky to not get in, I seen him play in last years senior granny for ece & he went well & early form for gws was good from what I seen & heard & I think he was named in the best for ece 1's the last time he played for em.

Wasn't sure what form they went & not knowing anyone with a kid still in the system hard to know as all info 2nd or 3rd hand, though from going back through sydneyh footy list & gws team sheets it appears recent form not an issue as blokes who were either out injured or not selected by gws or their clubs in the weeks before first 2 rams games got in, plus cole who I rate highly had hardly any footy & was playin 2's for nth.

Any news on how bray went & did ferguson get much of a crack down in melbourne appeared to make a late run last time I seen him he was pretty good at the back ex parra kid from what the bloke I was talkin to said.

How did Brain go I rate that little bastard as 1 of the hardest juniors I've seen. And Kane Murphy has got a brain & a ticker.

Young Don Bull seems a nice young kid met him the other week.

There were a couple of Dimmerys runnin around at wests in the 90's 1 of em played rep foty I think & was at wests for years, did 1 of em pass away in the mid 90's seem to recall something happenin out at wests, sure there were 2 & then only 1, is this bloke related to either or both of them?

Is game at half 5 tomorrow how f#*king cold is it.

I do not know family of Dimery but yeah I rate him. His form deteriorated to the extent GWS sent him back to ECE for a game. Just couldn't find the footy.

the first few games seems to be all about the scholarships and Rams. Again I think this was part of the deal. Do not know a lot about Rams other than what I read but seems most of the coaches votes went to non Sydney players. Probably no real surprise. Bray and Ferguson had been good for GWS before that.

Brain very hard but maybe needs to think a bit more, Murphy good but size might be a worry (has good leap though). Heard needs to work harder when not in possession.

Game is 5.30 but been away until today so might take a few jumpers
