Name the match that commentary was from.

If you know it, feel free to add your own piece of commentary (not TOO hard), and see if someone else can pick it up.

My guess is the 1996 match against Freo at the Whitten Oval.

Good thread Mobben, i like it!

"Well.......if ever the character of a club could be questioned and answered, it was today"

"You know errr, if they win here today its not an impossibility that they could win the flag, because there determination would carry them throw, thats worth about 4 goals"

"Yes, well i believe that anything less than a 10 or 12 goal victory, would be ahhhhh a little bit less than under performed for the eagles"

"Well.......if ever the character of a club could be questioned and answered, it was today"

Round 8 1995 v Adelaide at Footy Park?

Incorrect, good guess though. Commentary taken from another game during the nineties however.

1986 Elimination Final v Essendon?

Incorrect but close.

"Yes, well i believe that anything less than a 10 or 12 goal victory, would be ahhhhh a little bit less than under performed for the eagles"

Round 24 1991 v West Coast at Princes Park?

Correct. Gerrard Healy said this, when asked for his tip at the first bounce.

There is only so many games it could've been considering we all know that it was likely to be in the 90s.

Correct Mobben. The words came from McAveney's mouth just after the final siren.

Correct Adey. He blurted that out at about the 25 minute mark of the last quarter.

Anyone else got a snippet of commentary they'd like to test us with?

Whilst we are on Mellington, I have just got home from the Montmorency vs Greensborough match, where young Anthony kick a lazy 16 goals ! This haul included 8, yep 8, in the first quarter ! Had he he not been so unselfish, he might have even managed 23 - 25 goals as he gave that many more away.
