Much like Collingwood, it's leaving its run late... not much has happened in the past, say, 3 hours. So much to be resolved in 120 minutes. Who's a traitor? Who's gonna get totalled? Is it feasible for Kim to be kidnapped and saved within this 2 hour window?

Have already seen the last 2, and must say I am disappointed with the last 5 or so minutes.

It's going to be a great finish. I have been watching 24 and have loved it.

Gay.
Don't tell me... but, I presume Jack and Kate have a bit of a smoochy-woo-kissy-wissy.
i thought the first series left it too late and would seem like a lot would happen in unrealistic time but they did a good job, its a great show
I got very bored in the last 4 or 5 hours prior to the last. I thought this week was great and am looking forward to the last 3.
Jesus CHRIST!!! How much do we LOVE Jack??? Man that guy is cool. I have to say I appreciate him the most when he's doing that whole gun/torch combo thing. Makes me go nuts.
(I went to a pistol range recently again and begged to be able to hold a torch. "NO! NO LICENCE! MUST BE SUPERVISED!!!!" Bastards! Where's the fun in standing straight and holding a gun correctly even IF it's just to shoot a piece of paper???)
Mandy: 2 hours to go.
Tony Almeida is de shiznit.

When George Mason took the Cessna down and exploded the bomb, I thought "Well that's that" and it would lose steam. But I've enjoyed the subsequent plot lines - you could hear my clapping around Australia when the President's ex-wife got stabbed.

You had to love it when Jack looked at her after it happened and just ran off. Boy's got his priorities straight.

Are you sure? I thought in the preview after this week they said 2 hours left until the final hour?
Huge fan, havent missed an episode, drooling at the prospect of the final 2 hours!
I love 24!
Anybody know if a third series is in the works?

Having seen the entire series a third series is a MUST!!!
It is almost complete in the writing. Keifer has first refusal on it apparently to again exec produce but he is waiting for the final draft of series 3.

There are definitely 2 hours to go.
There will also be a third series...
Third series of 24 gets go-ahead
Kiefer Sutherland has been signed up for a third series of 24.
The third run of the show, which follows government agent Jack Bauer as he fights terrorism, has been commissioned before the second series has even finished in the US.
The first run of 24 was more of a critical than a ratings success for US network Fox.
But the second outing has proved more popular, prompting the early decision to recommission it.
Fox has confirmed 24 will retain its real-time format for the third series, but is not giving away any plot details yet, reports Media Guardian.
24's second series launched with its best ever ratings on BBC2 earlier this month, attracting 3.3 million viewers.
...and best of all, Sarah Wynter is not going to be part of the third installment.
I do hope the third one starts off small scale like the first series - you know, the whole kidnap thing etc.
This time it was just nuclear warfare from the get-go.
I cant remember what happened to Nina?
Someone help me out.

There have been two alternate starts written to the next series. One that picks up exactly where series 2 finished (which without giving anything away is exactly where it should!!) And the other is 6 months on.

They used her to track down the terrorists early, then I assume her arse was thrown back into a cell.

Damn shame, but what else can happen to her?!?!?
Meh... no Sarah Wynter or Elisha Cuthbert means we get non-annoying, attractive 24 females. Hopefully.
Jack Bauer is a superhero.
He is a superhero without superpowers. In other words he is Batman, except everyone knows his indentiy, and he doesn't own a cool car with gadgets, and he comes from L.A. not Gotham City.

Watch the show and I have loved it.
Great to see that there is going to be another series.:)

If the third series doesn`t follow on, it makes the ending of series two disappointing.

I think that Kiefer Sutherland is a great actor and would be disappointed if there isn't a third series.

I am SO with you there. 3 HAS to pick up where 2 left off!!!!
Australia only has one hour to go and I can't wait to see what everyone here thinks!!
Cant wait for the final episode!! I bet it kicks ass...lot's to do though in the final hour?
Jack has to find the bad guy and capture him then somehow get him to confess to the president so that Palmer can be put back into office and the war can be called off all in an hour??
Also have to resolve exactly how Sheri is involved and also Kim and Sarah Wynter in the car looks weird...something is gonna happen to them surely?
Oh not to mention that Michelle and Almeida have to get out of jail?
Cant wait....

24 is a cracker of a show, the only series that has made me set my video regularly in at least 8 years.
My only concern is the amazing pace in which things happen, it can take me over an hour to find a park and get the shopping done, yet in the same amount of time they seem to cover huge amounts of territory in a city like LA.
My main qualm with it is that as soon as something goes right, for instance, finding the chip, finding Alex Hewitt etc. it ****s up straight away. This didn't happen to such an extent last season, and allowed for a lot more plot manouvering IMO. This season we have no idea how the **** Jack's going to get out of the mess until the last episode... which is exactly want the producers want, I guess, but **** 'em.

It's gotten just a little over the top in the last few weeks. Every time a piece of the puzzle appears solved, there is always an immediate complication.
Whatever became of Lynn?

She was hospitalised after her tumble, never to be heard from again
Dammit! Why couldn't they just call it 48 and keep going!?
I guess we have to wait an entire year for the next series. Bah!

in the meantime, we have Alias now :)
i only saw bits and pieces of this 24 series. It looked impressive but its the kind of show you really want to watch in one 24hr block :)

Ok so now you have all seen the ending here is an important piece of the puzzle that most people missed!!
Who recognised the girl that shook hands with the President?

I was about to ask the same thing.
Also, did the president die? And what now after an assassination?
Too many questions left unanswered for the end of the series.

That would've been the chick who blew up the plane in the very first episode of the first series, who surprisingly didn't turn up later.
Oh, and I most definitely would... :p

Oooh, the plot thickens!! I never would've picked that up, thanks Guey and Lady_Lawrence. Makes me just want to kill the producers though, having to wait for the new season. At least Alias will more than fill the time though.:)

what a great finish to a great series. I can't wait until the next series starts.
The more I think about the ending, the less I like it.
This was the kind of switch we were getting at the end of episodes in the first series, pretty much every 3-4 hours, whereas the last 8 hours of the second series kinda dragged out until the finale. Remember there was like three levels of "baddie hierachy" that we saw in the first series, so there's nothing wrong with doing it in the second, to keep us guessing.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I was compelled to watch the second series because the first one was good in itself... I don't think there has to be a link between each in order for me to watch. I suppose that what's you get when you live in a world of plebs with the attention span of goldfish.

My concern is that obviously the next series will have to start where this one left off, so.....
Will Jack ever get to go to bed and or have a toilet break and is it possible that Kim can get kidnapped 16 times in the next 24 hours also?

Yeah I recognised her too....cant wait for season 3. Hope Kate Warner is in it....because she is hot. Perhaps Nina and Kate's sister will have a role in the series 3 as both characters are pretty good (evil good) :D
Will the president die...and will Jack sleep.
