Great win. Sorry I couldn't make it this week I had a family engagement to attend. The size of the win looks like it has set us up for a tilt at September again and relegated Oakleigh to D3. The win by the Club XVIII was good to see as well making for a happy club.

Reds were up 9 goals to nil at quarter time, and I believe we also held Joakleigh goal-less in the final quarter, as well. It was a clinical effort.
Joey T was rested at forward, where he just watched the ball sail over his head for goal after goal, punded through by the mid-fielders and foil forwards.
It was great to see Vinnie back on the Brunny St Paddock.
From all accounts, I believe Hollypig enjoyed the day. Sounds like he'll be back for another in a few weeks.
Yep it looks like we'll finish top 2 at this rate. The match next week away against Bentleigh will be a test ... they're starting to get back on their feet slowly but surely. The week after that, we host ladder leaders Peninsula Pirates, that'll be one heck of a match.
Either Oakleigh or Hawthorn would have to go off their nut if they were to avoid relegation ... it's looking more and more like there'll be two divisions between us and them next year.
I reckon we're a chance to win every match, including the one against Peninsula ... and finish off just four points behind the Pirates. Oh, well, we'll probably lose by 4 points to La Trobe ... but apart from them, every match is winnable.
Are you going to Bentleigh or is it also on the banned away game list?
Also how is Haydn going in the magoos?

No to Bentleigh. Sorry.
Yeah Hefty got a number of touches on Saturday, but wasn't able to slot through a major. I think he's a bit sick of being on the backline. How many touches can you expect to get on Fitzroy Reds Reserves backline???!!!

Yes thanks Kev, had a ball.
What a day, got met at the hotel foyer, chaperoned to the game, taught to use the tram system, Christ I`ve got a lot of work to do to repay this service when Mobben next lands in Adelaide.
Good to put a face to Mobben, Fitzroy Ramone, Fitz Reds Pres, & Levo. Also got to meet Bill the passionate AFL hating president, (who made me a honerary member)Fletch`s brother who played in the B`s, the little liberal hating well read ex train driver, the two funny blokes who got there late & swear more than me, & countless others.
Finally got to drink in a couple of real pubs, no pokies, bliss. Got my piccy taken on the heritage grandstand, (get em over Kev), saw that Mungo Jerry & Neil Diamond have has a love child & he lives in Brunswick. Not to mention that every woman who lives there wears a beret, & the poodles wear ugg boots.
That`s one hell of an oval in a terrific setting, you don`t know how lucky you are. Enjoyed the game too.
I`ll be back for the game on the 12th July, big game too from what I gather, until then I`ll get the ball rolling tomorrow night with regards the annual derby between the SA & VIC Lions.
I ended out missing the Telstra game Sat`dy night due to Mobben force feeding me lunatic soup all day. Saved $100 in the process :)
See you all in a couple of weeks, I`ll bring the fruit of the loins along.
Cheers & thanks,
Holly

Hehe I did by no means force-feed you. You were the keen one ... if my memory serves me correctly.
You got everybody's name right except for Levo. You probably meant Kooka. Levo is in England :)
Photos are ready (not the best but they'll suffice), PM your eMail address to me and I'll send.
