View Full Version : Movie Let the right one in
Wondering if anyone else has seen it? After being dragged to a Twilight film and being one of the few that lost interest in True Blood after season 1 wasn't expecting much with any film to do with Vampires.......
What a nice surprise....
LTROI looks stunning, great relationship between to young leads (the 12 year old girl in it is amazing).....some straight out freaky creepy scenes.....
Its a sub titled swedish film and a slow burn but watch it before Hollywood get hold of it and F it up in a re make.

Yeah I saw it when it in London when it came out, was very good, youre right the two young leads were fantastic, the hollywood remake is coming out very soon with the young girl from Kick-Ass (forget her name), renamed Let Me In, hope they can do it justice

Doubt it, expect all the dark, adult themes to be toned down or removed completely.

Yeah I have heard a lot of good things about this film and store it at the local video store yesterday... I hired A Serious Man instead which wasn't bad in itself but yeah definitely want to see this.

Bloody good movie. Loved it.
Unless the remake gets uber great reviews then ill probably give it a miss.

Some truly amazing scenes in this Swedish gem.
Brought a little class back to the horror genre.
Though it's much more than that...
Good get Dewy was just reading an article that the guy that did the film Cloverfield is doing it so maybe some hope it still has some edge when the remake comes out

Brilliant film. I remember tarky saying how good this was in a thread on BF (I think the underrated films thread), so I hired it. Watched it that night and then finished work early the next day so I could watch it again before taking it back.
The chemistry between the two leads is the foundation for the movie. Brilliant performances by two early-teen actors. I just loved the environment too. Sweden, during winter, in the early 1980's. Good amounts of gore splashed in with some realistic effects. Not to mention a truly memorable scene that just stays in your head (suppose there are a couple actually).
Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

Cloverfield had about as much edge as a basketball.

Saw it last night it's pretty damn good and unlike pretty much any other movie I have seen definitely recommended. :thumbsu:
Loved the movie and just finished the book which was excellent, and I highly recommend reading it if you liked the movie as it filled in a few blanks (albeit blanks I didn't know where there until I read it!)
