Watching the first episodes now. Not a bad show - the plot arc of Deb Mailman's character, John Waters' character and the family seems to be set up nicely.
Asher Keddie's love-life issues and the "sexual tension" with Don Hany's character is very poorly set up though. So bleedin' obvious.
Another Australian drama, I wonder how it rated and what reviews it will get. I liked it and will watch it every week, but I have a thing for crappy Australian shows. How anyone would want to bone Deborah Mailman astounds me.
I was switching channels and when I turned to this I saw the above mentioned actress getting an iPhone pulled out of her vulva.

It's only the first episode, but it has seemed to overstay its welcome already.
In future, there will only be two reasons to watch this series long enough to pique my interest: playing a game of spot-the-Melbourne-landmark, and Kat Stewart.
I just watched it. It was a bit disinteresting to start with, but it got better towards the middle. Overall I actually think it was pretty good. The hot doctor and brother helped as well.

Disposal, lightweight fluff.
Not enough juice for a one-hour show.
Work much better as a half-hour...
I lasted half an hour. Unlikeable, self conscious quirky characters for the sake of simply being quirky. Thats not good writing.

I thought pretty much the same. Wasnt overly impressed ... narrative story by Asher's character was annoying.
Wow, after all the promotions and ads with poor Nina and her inability to talk to men, I completely forgot this was on.
As much as I love Asher in Love My Way, I think I'll be giving this show a miss tbh..

Hmm I had a feeling it was going to be like this, everything from the promos seem contrived. Will try to catch a full episode next week to see what's up

Was pretty shite. That Warney character was pretty cringe worthy a best. Walking around with no shoes on? Kat Stewart plays a whore?

However, it was #1 on the night for its key demographic.
Women 16-39 and 25-54...
Deb Mailman is the ****en ugliest thing i have ever seen.

These Deborah Mailman comments are quite mean, but for some reason I find them amusing.
As for the show, I went for a shower after about an hour, I didn't think the acting was too bad, and some of the story lines were ok, but it was a bit shoddy.
Shockingly written drivel. Didn't last half an hour. :thumbsd:
It was just as shit this week, hard to see it lasting too long at this timeslot.

I finally saw 5 minutes of the show today, didn't seem that bad actually
Any show that the lead characters are the messed up ones has to be watchable(normaly its some blow in character screwed up that makes the lead character look good) Good to see a bit of gender transparancy.
Show has potential..............
I have tried but there isnt enough of a hook to keep me interested in this show. The English show directly after it seems alright so far.

Hmmm good point, that's one of the things you could critique about the show "Friends", was that they didnt give Chandler that many witty lines that can stand up on their own - they just gave him really obvious, weird situations/side characters which he could sarcastically respond to.

Hmm, it's not the best show in the world, that's for sure. It's not too bad to sit down and watch with the girl friend though. Much better than CSI and whatever crap is on 7. Bring back Sunday night movies ffs!
I like it.
However, the show is pretty much ****ed once the doctor and the blonde chick get together. Only so long they can drag it out.

Just getting into this show at the recommendation of a lady friend. Catching up on YouTube now.
Something weird/quirky I noticed in the first episode - when Nina is asking out Chris in the street, behind them on a pole is a poster advertising album Albino by Melbourne band Elephant Gun. The poster looks in pristine condition, but the album came out a decade ago!

Sadly, almost all Australian dramas fall into this category.
East West 101 is fairly respectable. But it's on SBS so nobody watches it.
I'm giving this show 1 more go tonight.
hopefully something interesting happens.. I noticed ch10 haven't been promoting it much during their ad breaks
