I would like to of seen Brenton Sanderson take over the leadership from Tim McGrath.

I definately agree with you JUBJUB. Sando should get a captains role. He does a heap of promo stuff for the club and is nearly always involved in things to do with getting new members and helping with the Stand Up and Fight campaign.
He is one of my favourite players so I guess I'm a bit biased.
But maybe after McGrath retires Sando might get his spot. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I agree with both of you Sando sould really get the deputy vice captins role, and as good as Tim is he should step down, sando is awesome and he has fantastic leadership qualities about him, I think it would be a great opportunity, hey sando is 1 of my many faves he is among my top 3 and has been for some years now, we always get the best out of him, he busts a gut trying week in and week out, go sando !!!!

To be brutally honest, Bluey hasn't done much in the last few years to warrant him being vice-captain. You wouldn't have even known he was on the ground in our Grand Final loss to them Hawthorn bastards!

Love ya Bluey, but pull your socks up son!!:p

He went to play a season or two at Grovedale, and now is a builder.

Wasn't he also coach at Grovedale ?
He still pops up every now and then doing special comments on K-Rock.

Bluey captained the VFL side from the VFL list in 2003, before heading back to Grovedale.

Coached the side from 04-06 i think before handing over the reigns to Menschy, who returned to playing in Geelong after leading from Mansfield to a premiership.

Wrote for the Addy in a columnist capacity until 2006 and in 2007 was part of the 'expert panel' for match ups and analysis like that..

Disappeared out of the spotlight last year and is continuing his career as a very busy builder..

There must've been a full moon when this thread got bumped up as there were a number of 7 or 8 year old threads bumped up on the General Forum for no reason.Perhaps they'd all been out getting high together at some event [Big Day Out ?]

Yep, my sister almost used him as her builder last year when doing some reno's, got a bit of a shock when he first turned up to do the quote.
