Out in cinemas on the 29th of October.
A recent interview on Soccer AM with Cary Elwes (who played Doctor Lawrence Gordon from the original movie) revealed that the seventh installation in the Saw franchise is definitely going to be the final one, and that they have "definitely left the best for last".
What we know so far is that there is a protagonist by the name of Bobby Dagen who plays a major part in the film. There are eleven traps, one of which is so terrible, so wrong, so ridiculous that it wasn't allowed in any of the previous Saw films.
Cary mentions there are limbs flying at you left, right and center, and it's a good idea not to take your pregnant wife along with you to see the film.
The film starts off where the original Saw movie finishing (shows Dr. Gordon escaping the filthy bathroom).
After that, they shoot to a "Public Scene", where, for the first time ever, an audience of people are horrified of events taking place in one of Jigsaw's traps. Hundreds of people are looking through a glass window at two men (who don't know each other) sitting at opposite sides of a table.
In the middle of the table is a giant saw.
Suspended above the men is a lady (who both the men know). Her freedom rests in the men's hands. For her to survive, either one of the men have to kill the other by using their power to push the saw into their opponent.
The men begin using their strength to push the saw through their opponent and, as they're battling, the lady suspended above them is telling each of the men how much she loves them. She is urging them to kill the other one.
Then the men jerry and they realise that the lady is dating both of them. So they decide to not do anything and let the time run out, sealing her fate.
Apparently she begins to yell, "what are you doing," to which one of them responds, "Ah, I think we're breaking up with you."
From what I can make out of the trailer, the horrific scene I mentioned earlier is called "The Garage Trap", which looks to involve Jill Tuck. She is left tied up and vulnerable and her fate could rest in someone's hands. Can't quite determine whose actions will decide her fate, but I reckon I can see a car or kart of some sort storming towards her. Seems quite delicious.
There also appears to be another scene where two men are hanging from some sort of cage approximately one meter away from each other. Below them appear to be fans with blades ready to slice and dice a victim who happens to unfortunately fall into the pit of fan blades. Seems sort of like a game out of Gladiators where you have to hold your ground and use your strength to disengage their opponent from the cage.
A lot of questions will be answered - hopefully all questions that have been left unanswered ever since the original movie was released back in 2004.
