Was a speaker at a sportsman night at my footy club last night. Heard some very interestng stuff, along with a few **** funny stories.

After his last game in '97 he's being carried off, along with Sheeds when Kev tells him to get down and do a lap of honour for the fans. During the lap he's a bit teary and notices that a lot of the fans are too. Gets back into the rooms and wonders aloud to the doorman whether perhaps he should keep going seeing as how everyone seems so upset. "Don't worry" says the doorman, "those tears weren't for you, they just announced lady di died".

That day Harvs got, without doubt, the best send off i have ever seen a player get. One of my all time favorites that game.

Wallbanger got a very good send off, he was carried off with a can of Jimmy. B. in hand, very stylish. The team did their bit by seeing off the eventual premiers. He tried to execute three crows players that day as once again they came up short v Essendon in Victoria.
I walked from that s hithole to The Royal in Richmond, some would say s hithole to s hithole, i know i would.
