Liked it when a girl did 'Torn' - Natalie wishing she wasn't there :)
Terrible show. Every time I flick over to the show it has some Justin Beiber wannabe singing, or a down-and-out hard luck story trying to crack it in the music industry.
It's basically Australian Idol with cloned judges from Australia's Got Talent + Guy Sebastian. They've even got the token Irish judge, ffs.

Actually, tonight's episode was very impressive. Much less young wannabes and hard-luck stories, and more real talent. There was a great reggae duo tonight and a very talented young hip-hop/rnb pair. Stuff we would've never got on Idol.

it's a shit show with more hopeless singers that will be forgotten about with in 2 weeks of the finale. wait a minute didn't australia have show like that on another fta network. it's idol with bigger lights and more moron teen screaming for no reason

I am looking forward to seeing some of the reggae and hip hop singers. It's something we don't often see on the Aussie talent shows.

I think the talent has been pretty good - heaps of duds [they must think they are compulsory for humour content :rolleyes:] but quite a few goodies - eg the four sisters tonight

The look on the under 25 guys when they saw Kyle walk into the room as their mentor, was priceless lol
Poor kids, some of the 16 yr olds looked scared to sing in front of him. Anyone know who DJ Havana is? I thought it was an odd choice to have her select the final 12.
Guy made a smart choice to ask the lead singer from a band to help him select the final 12.

could argue that guy sebastian has had SOME success (landing a gig on x factor LOL).
what im saying is that judges should be held accountable

I can't believe Big Guy and Lazy J didn't make it. Did Guy just listen to Usher, in that, these guys are too nervous. Surely Guy could've worked with their nerves, and help them develop. They aren't expected to be pro from the beginning.
But, yet, Altiyah who forgets the words makes into the top 12.

wanna smack the michael buble under 25 in the face, something just annoying about him, Andrew I think his name is.
Who will vote for Alteyan?, hopeless.
Mitchell will get the tween vote.
Girl bands will be out first, girls don't vote for them.
Still think Hayley is the best talent.

Alteyan will be the first to go (for sure). He'll probably forget the lyrics. Don't know what Ronan is thinking.
I was surprised that Guy selected two girl groups to make his final 3. He should know how a 'talent show' works - teenager girls are more likely to vote. The girls would've loved Big Guy and Lazy.
Guy won't win, especially with his ex-back up singers in the final 12. Besides girl groups aren't that popular anymore.

Good comparison. I was thinking Sally reminds me of someone else, and yeah she's similiar to Casey.
X factor should let the public select the final 12. Similiar to Idol. Afterall it's the public they have to impress not the judges.

Yeah with the one difference, as bad as Casey was..she could sing. I am happy for the judges to pick 8, and then they should have a wildcard show where the audience picks the last 4 (one from each group). That way less chance of emos, and just frankly putrid singers to look at or hear!

first of there was NO WAY Amanda was the wost of that night - sadly as good as she is she wasnt as markatable as Indiana (dont get me wrong she shouldnt of been their either)
Kyle s**ts me atmo - sure he is in the industry as such but how can he who isnt a musician/singer/songwriter talk about their performances lyrically and musically and argue over the other 3.
He gives them song choices of songs he likes not what suits Mitchell and Andrew.........Id love to see them be with Ronan once this show is over and then you'll see what they are made of.
Kyle's ruined the pair of them as far as I'm conserned & my hope they will exit the comp is more to do with wanting them as far away as Mr Sandilands as possible then anything.

No he wasnt but to be fair I believe yesterday was year since Steve Gateley(sp) passed away so he wouldnt of been in the greatest of moods regardless....i really felt for him and the rest of the Boyzone guys last night :(

Maybe, but Amanda completely butchered a famous Black Eyed Peas song on Sunday. This is 2 weeks after butchering a Christina Aquilera song as well. She is VERY inconsistent to say the least.
India-Rose is the total "package" so to speak. She can sing a range of genres, and she looks hot. I said it before the competition if I were to pick a singer to take right now, give me India Rose as she will sell albums right now.

Man, to be honest I'm totally uninspired by the guys on Australia's X factor... I'm pretty confident that none of them will ever get that far in the music industry... they're all pretty trash to be honest. When you compare these guys to the UK X factor...
I wouldn't be surprised if Mitchell wins the whole thing as teen girls vote for this thing... he is absolutely terrible but still gets through every week...

That's right ...... I like India best but was surprised she was voted better than Amanda for her sing - off song which was a bad arrangement IMHO

'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' was what India sang now, I recall. Terrible arrangement of a good song. Like her voice otherwise though.
Who was the girl who said she had been living in a container, sort of hippy type? She was very good I thought.

This rule is one that has been manipulated time and time again. Technically there is a sub rule that states that if they are equal you can use your own opinion based on BOTH performances.
It is not as clear cut this year (even on the UK version)

mitchell was a terrible singer and each week his performances bordered on the comical (please let it be luke and joel next to go).... altiyan, sally and mahogany are quality acts that have that extra edge over the others.

Ive watched a few shows of this without paying much attention but is mitchell the justin beiber one? the duo of guys where one has eyebrows to rival Agro are the least talented people ive ever seen on any of these idol type shows, and they are still on there each time i see it.

India at her best is the 2nd best singer in the competition behind Hayley (who is clearly the most rounded and is the best credentialed to win as she has the LOOK and the VOICE). Fact is what do you expect when you decide to do a Rock Night. It is silly to say the least. Why should India sing a Rock song when she will never release that rubbish, ditto Mitchell, ditto Andrew. It would be like Altiyan trying to sing Britney!

True, that said I will say this. You are only as good as your cattle. You could see in bootcamp that the girls were the strongest group in general. There were about 7 girls that could have easily made it. Yet you STRUGGLED to get 3 boys. There lies the issue. You can blame Kyle but what can you do when Andrew is the best of what you have!:eek:
I went with the theory that the reason why Kyle did not appear at last night show was because he knew one of his boy was about to booted off the stage.
Such a freaking coward. I hope Andrew is booted off next. Such a one trick pony with his crooning.

Apparently yes he will, but he has hired someone to help Andrew as well. He should be fine by the Sunday show, but not much before then.

Depends on how they stretch the genre. Kyle did it and it burnt him, Andrew was mid range and Mitchell was booted becuase Kyle refused to stay to the theme.
Altiyan could do a few songs but jeez he ust watch his pitch. What he has to hope is he smashes this week and hope that people forgive him for what will be a disaster the following week.

I love the promo. Some bloke is doing really well in karaoke comp, goes AWOL and apparently sleeps a night in a cave, somehow a helicoptor or long distance camera manages to track down AWOL man arising from said cave just in time to make a great promo ad. :eek: :rolleyes:

Hayley, yep agreed. She is the full package. Looks + voice=$$$$.
Make no mistake the record company will want Hayley or Altiyan to win.
