is this the absolute worst programme on tv? where do they find these 3rd rate gibberers from!!!!

I agree, that show is shocking, they'd be better off showing Champagne Comedy from Channel 31.

Sam Lane takes herself way too seriously on that show, otherwisee it's not too bad. She is starting to lighten up a bit, but still a bit slow on the uptake that it is not really meant to be a serious show - everything she says is a matter of grave importance it seems

I watch it occasionally and usually get a giggle from it, but I don't like the chick. :o

It's supposed to be a light-hearted look at footy while they give you the scores from the day's matches with a little bit of sketch thrown in, (the player bedtime diary sketches and the odd fake voiceover p!$$takes) following the Saturday night match.
I don't know quite what you're expecting from it... some lavish SNL-esque comedy masterpiece, or?

i expect a decent show, that's what. and what's with this dave hughs bloke....is he the new jeannie little? just because someone talks with a ridiculous voice doesn't mean he's funny. he has no talent.
i like it. it's good to see a show that doesn't take itself seriously. i don't expect it to make it to a second season though.

I'd presumed she wasn't availabe (at least at first) due to her netball committments.
As for the show itself, I haven't seen it in a few weeks, but after an inauspicious start I thought it had improved with the panellists being more assured and was a fairly enjoyable show.

What is worse is the players who go on the show. I feel so sorry for them...........
At least the Footy Show is funny.

What the?....the Footy Show is funny? I stopped taping it after watching it from the early days because it is so un funny and predictable nowadays...even Trev doesn't even register. Who wants to watch bittter anti 7 tirades zzzzzzz. The only laugh from it is the fact that TF still sets the agenda 'cause everybody but everybody talks about it.
After Footy is a great idea (footy lovers joking after a game) Why don't they ditch or replace the girl (afl.com -shudder) and wittily analyze what just happened in the game? You love to argue and joke while the action is fresh in your mind. Throw in some gossip and an interview and you're away.....what's the prob?
It has it's moments.....there are some good jokes and there are some flat spots.
Let's face it, it's cheap TV made on a shoestring budget.

I actually find it mildly amusing at times. Two things that will improve it:-
1) Get rid of the "Diary of a Footballer" segment at the end of the show. It is simply NOT funny.
2) Keep Rove Mcmanus off the show. He's a f**king tool (yes, I realise he's the producer or something). When he appeared on last week's episode, I had to strongly fight the compulsion to run screaming from the lounge room.
