Apparently EFC are building a new complex at the Keilor Park Rec Reserve.

Plenty of land and good freeway access. Could be a good move for EFC to have 1st class facilities for the players.

New meaning to Windy Hill Mark 2. :D

I heard this on the radio also.

It is known representatives of the sporting club (KP) have been in discussions with Brimbank and EFC about the move.

Benefit the whole community with a state of the art facility.

Smart Idea by EFC.

Worst place in the whole EDFL to play and watch footy. No exaggeration when saying that the winters are almost arctic on that oval lol.

Kill Joy.. Its not that bad its only b.c its open space. Saw a game there this year they would play finals there if it had a fence.

It's the truth though.:p

I haven't been to Taylors Lakes since under 12s (going back to like 1998) so I can't really remember it. Keilor FC have a great ground and a decent amount of space surrounding it, would have though it might be a consideration. Avondale Heights is not too bad but probably smaller than Keilor.

I'd say Mooney Valley FC would be a great place as there is another field that sits next to the footy field but I can't stand that club haha.

Arctic Park .....

Buddy look at the big picture the APOC is moving in as a co tenant with EFC, it will include, Athletics, Swimming, Basketball Soccer, Tennis, everything is already there word has it, that it will be announce shortly, Bill Shorten contributed $6Mill to the project and Brimbank will supply the land. Massive for KPFC they will be become a super club of the comp with two additional grounds being discussed with lights meaning night games...... A shame for Windy hill but no room to do all the things that is required. Council will sell off to a developer for apartments like they did @ waverley park.

For the Record - Taylors lakes cow paddock - unfit for footballl, thats probably why they went through undefeated on their ground.

It's called Ormand Park and Moonee Valley's my club so I'd watch what you say....:p

BTW that field next to the footy club is the Essendon Royals Soccer Club. I honestly don't see us using that ground, the playing surface is absolute shithouse the Bombers wouldn't take a second look at it.

Having played at Keilor Park's ground, I can understand the Bombers wanting to move there due to the wide and big ground, but parts of the ground, including one of the goal squares is completely covered in mud

Agree

How she is still on radio is beyond my thinking.

And has been known to throw up the odd unsubstantiated rumour.

......and there is no public transport - back to the old days of going to Waverley Park!

Public transport??? Unless they were going to play games for points at the ground (which would be great against say GWS GC etc) then i dont think that will come into it.. As for the state of the current ground and wind factor,,,i've got a hunch there will be money spent rectifying that;)
I'm from the bush and the other side of melb but it is a heartland for EFC.. Now lets bring back zoning:D

As long as it's a good facility it doesn't matter too much. I'd like it to be in Essendon and Keilor Park is still in the general area. I'd be fine with it.
My preference is still for the bowls club to move or Essendon Airport though.

PEGS are also out that way with their sports grounds (the Fletcher influence).

PEGS are ****ing animals and a joke of a private school.

Has the administration set any date as to when a formal announcement will be made?

Waveley hasnt hurt Hawthorn.
There is already a basketball stadium and athletices track there.
Think you will find this is the alternative if the Bowls club doesnt come to the party.
Much cheaper option than essendon airport with council and federal government support a real chance.

Im sure if Essendon was to move their they would easily be able to fix the mud issue.:p

Keilor has a great ground - ripper spot. Strong footy area.
