View Full Version : Sheeds vs. Harvs
What is everyone's opinion on the situation with Mark Harvey? He has more or less stated that if a senior coaching role is offered to him at an AFL club that he will leave the Bombers at years end. So if Sheedy stays, Harvs will walk.
If the Bombers don't make the finals this year, how much impact will that play on the Board's decision to either let Sheedy stay or put Harvey in?
Thoughts?

TD for senior coach next year!!!!
Reading comments by JJ from On the Couch (as posted on Bombertalk this morning), it seems Sheedy is going to stay and Harvey is gone.
Sheedy's contract runs out at the end of next year, but, already moves are afoot to sign him until 2007 (the year he turns 60).

I used to be in favour of Harvey taking over the side, but now i am against it. Although he has served his apprecnticeship, all he knows is the Essendon/Sheedy way of doing things. I'd be happy for him to take over if he had been to another club for a while, but as things stand i'd rather get somebody like Gary O'Donnell.
When ever sheeds goes we need to get someone from outside the club because someone like harvs would have perceptions about certain players which may influence how they are going to develop or what ever but you wouldnt really get that from an outsider
