Well I had a feeling this was a lot worse than anyone is saying and now it's up to probably 8 weeks out. I guess it's pretty important to keep the optimism up but I hope it's not more like 12 which is on the cards.

How many games did he miss in 1998 after doing his (other) kneecap against Carlton?

He missed 6 games with his other dislocated knee in 1998 but this one seems to have some other bone damage meaning it will take him a little longer.

Tredders injury is the worst thing that could of happen for the club. There is no other player in the club who has the same presence in the foward line as Tredrea.
Lade, Cornes and Meady might be good marking options but you can't rely on then to kick you goals. As far Lockwood and Harwood go they are capable of kicking goals but they don't provide you with the same marking strength as Tredders.
The only positives in this injury are, that it happened before the true season started and at least Tredrea now has 2 strong knees which hopefully will not give him anymore trouble for the rest of his career.
