Meanwhile, another member of Ross Lyon's football department is preparing to leave St Kilda. The club's head of list management and recruiting Matthew Drain has informed the Saints he will leave at season's end.

along with most areas of the football club I would like a shake up of our recruiting team, & understand that Drain is well respected (despite one recent obvious fu), could be worth an interview if has not already happened, but probably off to the GC.

Wouldn't mind him back at the club.

I reckon our recruiting has been alright in the past two to three seasons...although that's just based on no expsosure vs other clubs.

He's been to more clubs than Lindsay Lohan.

"Meh."
Their recruitment in recent years has been particularly meh, really since Goddard.
They've got no-one under 24 who's any good. And the few they do have are re-treads (Dawson, Ray).

He was shown the door as he did not complete the proper due diligence on Andrew Lovett.

Can you completely blame Drain if Stkilda has insisted on picking up retreads in the last 3 or 4 years.
