Haven't seen anything else written about this, was going over the telly guide and it appears our very own Courtenay Dempsey is competing in a 100m fastest man in football sprint tonight, at Sydney's Olympic park @ 8.30pm.
The race will be shown on One HD and will also feature:
Jarryd Hayne, Greg Inglis, Lauchlan Turner, Nathan Gardner, Ben Barba, Josh Morris (NRL), Lauchlan Turner (Super Rugby) and Matt Lewis (A League).
I like how Courtenay forgot to bring his runners with him. Kade Simpson (or someone from Carlton) is also running.

Just said on FoxSports News he can't compete due to some AFL sponsorship rule...

Ah, now found this. (http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/afl-wowsers-order-courtenay-dempsey-not-to-compete-in-gatorade-usain-bolt-sprint/story-e6frexni-1225923809482?from=public_rss)
Possibly due to the "Gatorade" part, given that the AFL is sponsored by Powerade, they've threatened him with a $20K fine if he takes part.:(

Talk about amateur time. Anyone see Cordy and the other announcer nearly come to blows? I'd be embarrassed if I was Bolt.

What's that you say? No off-season drug testing in the West Indies? Oh that's interesting, where does Bolt spend his off-seasons? The West Indies? Oh that's interesting. Faster than any juicer going around? Oh that's interesting.
If Bolt's not on a bit more than Gatorade, I'll go he.
Where was Bolt born? The West Indies? Oh that's interesting.
lol, 100% of Olympic athletes are on, or have been on, some form of performance enhancers.*
I don't have a problem with it, either; so long as it's a level playing field, in that they're all 'able' to do it, it'll only provide a better spectacle.
* My opinion of course. Allegedly and all of that other overly PC nonsense. Don't take my assets.

Would love to see an event where its just a drugs free for all. Pump yourself full of whatever you want and we can see what times humans are really capable of.

cf Jones, Marion; France, tour de; MLB circa 1990s (Barry Bonds!); etc etc etc.
I have a lot of suspicion about pro US sports where the athletes who are all athletic freaks, mysteriously never want to go into International competitions. I can't believe that there was like 3 guys who could dunk before about 1980; and now there's dozens at each NBA franchise. Smells very, very fishy.

Agree 100%
And its not a matter of going on the juice and you become a star.
For example; a Male 100 metre runner would need to be running 10.10 or less,to consider getting on juice.
So.....
Who won?
