People over the years have asked me to do chat shows and interviews and I usually go, ‘Well why would you want me to do that?’ and they say, ‘We used to enjoy your interviews on Get This’ on radio,” says Tony Martin.
Ticking all the boxes of writer, performer, broadcaster and comedian, Martin is now about to solidify television presenter on his CV, with the first of an “occasional” 6-part interview series on ABC1, A Quiet Word with Tony Martin.
Can't wait. It sounds fantastic.
Hasn't been enough Tony Martin on TV in the past few years, looking forward to it.

Looks like he could be trying out for taking over the Andrew Denton role at the ABC. Not a bad choice.

I doubt it'll be too serious. They'll just be enjoyable conversations, similar to Get This, only without Ed and Richard.

That observation Martin made about the Andre Reiu DVDs was both hilarious and spot on. I remember walking into JB Hifi a couple of years ago and seeing an entire shelf dedicated to Reiu's numerous concert films, and thinking to myself "Who the hell is this guy?"
Definitely worth tuning in for each week :D:thumbsu:
