View Full Version : justification
Will be interesting to see if the dogs persist with their free flowing game this week or if they revert to the scragging dogs that are oh so fun to watch (as in the Ansett Cup game at FP).
Do they back themselves to kick more goals in a shootout away from home (and probably without Darcy, if he gets off mead should sue hehe).
Hopefully the weather holds up and its a decent evening, but I think it's up to the dogs as to whether the game is football at its best or another slogfest.

The Doggies will be without Curley, Darcy, Romero, Libba, Dimmatina, and Croft, I'd suggest they will play a holding defensive bite scratch kick anything game to slow us down.
Hopefully the pace of the game will be beyond them and carry Port to victory.
If they are to succeed in making it a slugfest, they will have to be better at it than Geelong was.

Grave Danger

This is probably the most "should bloody win easily" game so far for us this year with all their absentees, but I'm sure they'll come out fighting. They've still got quality players like West, Grant, Johnson, Brown, Hudson and Smith, but not a lot after that.
I'd be happy with any size win, but we really should make the most of their misfortune if we want to be seen as a serious threat this season...
This weeks game could be a real danger game. The Dogs usually put up big preformances when they are down and everything seems to be going against them. They remind me a lot of the Port of old in that aspect. Port can not afford to go into this game thinking it will be an easy win and I'm sure they won't be.
No worries about this game guys, I know as Port fans you're saying all the right things but in all honesty if you play at anywhere near the level you have in recent weeks, you'll be up by 15 goals at half time. From there you can choose to rest your big guns or go for the jugular. I can't see the Doggies getting close, if they play free flowing, you'll flog them. If they play tight, flooding tactics, Dewy and Francis will just kick goal after goal over them. They could stay close for a half but Port will eventually open the floodgates and have a 10 to 15 goal quarter.
You guys are certainties to win this game. Good luck, and we'll do our best to get you top spot, though it's highly unlikely.
on'ya ant,
I am hoping the Crows do well this year, along with Port of course....I am looking for an all S.A. final.
NOW THAT WOULD BE WORTH WATCHING
