DEES RULE!

Thats it people no more boring weekends or sport reports full of golf, tennis, horse racing or anything else which doesn't include footy.
This time next week our boys will be out on the field in what seems like a proper ground, the MCG, hopefully continuing the 2 games winning streak!
From here on in there are no excuses, no practice matches at the end of the world and no experimenting with the team's line up.
Its the real stuff and its here in 12 days!
The off season was certenly a long one and if you don't like Cricket or Racing or Tennis than you pretty much had no other cheering to get up to! pretty depressing ha?
Well don't give up yet pretty soon you'll be able to experience the strong smell of beer when we play Richmond, the annoying voices of the 15 year old girls in the Essendon cheer squad and of course don't forget our own very impressive cheer squad which i think is more into sawing scarfs than cheering but anyway.
Soon enough training will take place at Junction and our boys will wear their normal jumpers not the ones that look like pjs.
People will keep giving us crap about Joe who we all know will pay up and Jeff Farmer will get up to his usual tricks which we all call Magical.
Neita will keep impressing as our captain and our new boys will show the AFL world that there is a future!
Hopefully Carey will fall apart because at the moment he looks like he is stuck together with too much tape and i dont know how long that will last!
Hopefully Essendon won't be a major worry!
And most importantly, hopefully our beloved Dees could go one step furthur.
Lets all raise a toast for our boys wishing them an injury free, suspension free, great season which will hopefully inforce the Bentleigh Club to build an extra shelf for one very important trophy!

okay i have to comment on this.
this time next week our boys wont be on the field playing. they'll be at the family day

12 - 3pm. at the mcg, enter via gate 7 at the Punt rd end.
Adults - $5
under 15 - $2
purchase at the gate.

meet the boys and have a good day, but most importantly support the club, and buy a membership for those who havent already.

Anyway back to the article. round one (the week after) they will back on the field against the tiges, to extract revenge for what happened in the ansett cup.

we should have a good season, backing up from last year will be hard, but i think the guys know what is expected of them, and there wont be the complacency there was in 1999. Neita will lead the side again (WOO HOO http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif), with his support crew being Schwarta, Chell and Woey. i think the thing that will get us is injuries and stupidity (suspension in otherwords)
as for the cheersquad, that deserves a whole nother thread, they disgust me
anyway bye for now, and the tipping comp will be up soon, please register b4 wednesday, we need heaps of people in it.

Yes I must say I am starting to look forward to round 1. But unlike other posters here, I have enjoyed the cricket, golf, tennis and what ever else. But now I say bring on the footy.
