Best Side

What do you guys think our side should be for the finals should we make it? As in, what is our best side.

I'd like to see Henneman a couple more times before we drop him - he could be an able backup to Hille and he did some good things the other night.

The one problem i have when i go to pick our best side is where to put McPhee, can never find a starting place for him.

Reynolds season is officially over with surgery for O.P. Not a bad line up all in all though.

Need 2 ruckmen as Hille can;t run out a game - therefore if you were to drop Henneman, Alessio would have to come in. Look at when we have played one ruck - nearly every time we have lost and every time we have been smashed out of the middle (Geelong were too ****e to capitalise on Kings ruckwork).

The /'s are for matchups. I prefer Lucas at CHB, but against the more mobile CHF's (ie Robertson for the Dees if he plays there) I prefer someone else. Hird on a flank is just to fit him in. Henneman for #2 ruck for me. The only concern is we may be too tall (3 talls on the bench).

How 'bout we worry about making the finals first boys and girls.

Interesting to note that most cannot find a spot for Cory. Yet everybody calls for his inclusion. If he doesn't make the best 22 Sheeds will play a younger Winderlich / Reynolds / Watson instead because the potential payback in future years is greater. I like the way Cory plays but I would prefer to see him playing AFL at another club (St Kilda or Carlton) than spending more time with Bendigo... it isn't good for his career.

I also think that our best side has Rioli on the wing. M Johnson is great there but with peverill firing and JJ and Misiti there is no room for him there at the start. So MJ to the back line, Welsh or McVeigh to the bench. And give Richards (I love his team play) a run in the forward pocket where most would play Rioli.

And in a final would you play Bullen or go for a pinch hitting forward like Barnard??? I know that Barneys time at the club is coming to an end, but I reckon he might be useful in a final.
