View Full Version : The last six games
Does anyone else think we can win them all?
We can win them all. Chances are we will be defeated in one or two, as per the law of averages.
Not beyond us to win them all, though.

Not taking a single one of them as a given - we still have a lot to prove.

of course we can
as long as we don't lose to collingwood, i'll be reasonably happy :p
it will require us to mentally tougher than we have been all season though
hopefully, now that we seem to be over our injury troubles (touch wood), it's certainly a possibility

One thing's for sure - we won't beat Carlton.
Please boys, prove me wrong!
Freo & Collingwood will be tough, but I think we can win, as long as they play like they did on Saturday night.

No confidence yet in us doing it. However - if we win the next 3 - will have a much better chance of winning 5 or 6 - however - lose this week and we will be lucky to win 3 all up.
Confidence - it has a snow ball effect - Brisbane could have been a very big hill to get over and now it is going to be down-hill - one can hope!!!!:D

I don't think we'll win all of them, but we have a good chance to win four or five.
Melbourne is a danger game just because of what happened last week and the obvious emotional hangover. Leoncelli announcing his retirement means they will want to finish out the season with some wins. That said, we should beat them because we generally match up on them very well.
One would like to think that Essendon will obliterate Carlton this time around, particularly since they are missing Whitnall (who seems to always kill us). But as well all know too well, there's no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to the Scum.
Footscray is also a danger game - even though they're the bottom side they have a habit of playing up to the level of their opposition. Remember, they drew the Weagles at Subi.
Richmond hardly resembles the same side that clobbered us earlier in the year; they've turned into a side that looks more like, well, Richmond.
Fremantle - Should beat them at Telsta Dome.
Collingwood - I would say this game is 50/50 right now. On form they appear a little better than us but we've had the wood on them twice in a row now. This could be one of the all-time great home and away matches.
If Essendon focuses, retains a healthy playing list, and plays up to its potential, I think we win all six games. But we have had a problem with those three things all year.

Very concerned about a let down this week after the big game against Brisbane last week, hopefully Sheeds has got the boys minds on the job.

I'm not particulary concerned about any 'emotional letdown' ... I'm more worried about the current wet weather, which will continue into Saturday.
It's no secret we are the worst wet weather team in the AFL, we will need to make some changes from last week's team (which was way too tall) ... need to bring in a Mercuri or McGrath.
If we don't ... we could be a bit of trouble here.
leoncelli retiring will mean **** all.
It's the weather and the fact we will probably get ahead of ourselves after last week.
A good example not to follow is the Roos 1st quarter last week.

How about Mercuri, Mcgrath and Harvey :D . And if I am not mistaken, the last time we played in the wet, Jacobs and Bolton had shockers  . Maybe it is time for a break.
(((Jeez that should upset a few people))):p
The only game we won't go in as favourites at this stage will be against the Collingwobbles.
But then again we have won 9 out of our last 10 meetings with the pies, so why should this game be any different?
If we won the last six, we would have 14 wins. Would that be enough to make the top four?

I don't think so, but it may just be enough to beat Collingwood for 5th spot. But we would have to improve our percentage a bit.

The only game that is acceptable to lose to is Collingwood. They are playing really well at the moment. We will beat Carlton and the Bulldogs easily. fremantle will be a harder match but home we should get there. The Collingwood match may well decide if we make the finals or not so its a massive game!

i think we have a better team than collingwood, so i would be dissapointed if we didn't win or go very close against them

Hopefully it can be a copy of:
Round 22 - 2002
Round 5- 2003
2 Big wins to the bombers over the magpies.
I think Essendon can win. Depends how they play in there matches against Freo, Carlton and WB.
