For the past 3 weeks everywhere i go i seem to get into quoting sessions from this funny classic. It really was and still is funny to watch. Im guessing most people here have seen it? What are your opinions on it. Some people think its just stupid. Others see it as how its supposed to be, hence why it is SO DAMN FUNNY:D

One of the best movies ever.
I was at Singapore Zoo a few years ago & the giraffes were feeding on some bushes. Then from behind me, this voice said, "Ah! A shrubbery!" :D

Go away or i shall taunt you a second time !
Opinions please - best pyhton film , grail or biran?
And the Lord spoke, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out! Once the number three, being the third number be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thou foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

You mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!
Grail is the best by far.

I suppose Brian is a bit more 'intellegent' and a better satire, but Grail is much better for pure nonsense.
Depends on my mood, but I prefer Brian. I think the "what have the romans ever done for us" scene is about their best stuff.
Fantastic film - anyone who disagrees "is an Eeenglish peegdog".

I find grail much more consistently funny, I found brian to be very very funny too but it's grail I pop in the VCR more often. :D

These comments probably reflect my thoughts best. I also have a soft spot for Brian because I saw it at the cinema when it was released, sneaking in underaged during school holidays! :)

Can anyone else remember the kefuffle and furore over Brian?
At Russell cinemas in Melb i remember being told i would go to hell for viewing it and other goodies.
I cannot recall laughing so much at a picture and had to see it twice to catch what i missed through laughing so hard.
Does anyone recall the travel documentary they showed before the film ??

"What also floats in water?"
"Churches, churches!"
"Lead!"
"Err, very small rocks!!"
Both side-splittingly funny to me, I like Brian better myself, but not by much.

"What's your favourite colour?"
i love both movies, but i love brian more then grail, simple because it wasn't as silly, bit more clever and witty. both have there moments though.
