"Melbourne ruckman Jeff White was forced off the ground twice in the last quarter with ankle and knee complaints but is not expected to miss next week's game."

He limped of fairly close to me and he looked to be in a little discomfort but I think he will be OK. He went off for a little while in the 4th then came on played well and then went off again. He has to take it easy this week.

We were sitting right behind the bench at yesterdays match and to us, Whitey seemed to be in a fair amount of pain the 2nd time he came off. Our question is though, why did he ever go back on the first time when obviously he wasn't 100% and now it looks as if he has done more damage....?!
Also, congrats to Darren Jolly who stepped up fantastically when needed, after spending the majority of the game on the bench.
Yes but when Whitey came on the second time around he did a few crucial things that helped win the game for us.

thats true but dees01 we were lucky to get away with only a minor injury. If whitey would have done his knee and needed reconstruction you wouldn't think that a few hitout would have been worth it.
In a way i think melbourne did a stupid thing letting him back on the field but it says he is available on the site, although i doubt how accurate they are! http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

They tell lies or porky pies about injuries at Melb. It makes me sick, and even worse, why risk Whitey when he was hurt already?
Real twits.

well this time i aggree with u guys (or girls or whatever. u r demons and thats all that matters) why the hell was he allowed back on in the first place??????? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/mad.gif u could tell that he wasnt right when he came back on. i could only think of two things: a- he lied so he could get back on, (but i dont think he is that stupid) and b- the club midiagnosed the injury and thought it wasnt as bad as it was. (stupid doctors) either way they should have been smart enuf to realise that he was injured, and should have kept him off for the rest of the game.
oh well it will be my luck that i come over to melbourne to see my boys play, and one of my fave players is injured, and the other is off calling people coconuts. When will it end?????

The coachng staff cannot be blamed for his knee injury. The injury he originally came off with was an ankle injury. He then went out and injured his knee. The two injuries were unrelated.
