THE STRIPPED TOUR

It might be the worst kept secret of the year but that hasn't lessened the excitement of announcing the hottest tour for 2003.

The Frontier Touring Company are delighted to confirm that Christina Aguilera is heading to Australia this December for a limited number of shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Currently touring the United States, Christina's live concerts are proving that Christina Aguilera is all grown up and can turn on the most action packed, colourful and vibrant of shows.

With dancers, lights, an enormous set, confetti and numerous daring costume changes, Christina's show disproves the adage that less is more. With hit after hit, colour and movement, audiences are up and dancing in their seats from start to finish.

The Seattle Times wrote "flanked by eight backup dancers... Aguilera veered from sexy to sultry to playful to rock star."

"The cheeky star sang while strapped to a giant 'X' ..., straddled a pink motorcycle and clambered atop a glossy piano."

With three consecutive Australian top ten hits, Dirrty, Beautiful and Fighter off her platinum album Stripped, Christina Aguilera is currently the undisputed owner of the pop princess crown. A fourth single Can't Hold Us Down is due for release in Australia in September.

Appearing as Christina's special guest for the tour will be Australia's own up and coming pop rock artist Emmanuel Carella, who recently debuted his single Too Beautiful for an impressive twelve week stay in the Top 40 ARIA chart. His recently acquired position as TV Hits Hottest Aussie Male Popstar in the July 2003 issue will also no doubt excite many an audience member!

With a broad fan base and the title of the hottest pop tour to visit Australia this year, expectations are that tickets will be flying out the door when this show goes ON SALE FRIDAY 1 AUGUST.

Tall poppy syndrome?

I don't think so Tim.

Christina isn't exactly my taste, but I would appreciate her songs more if she wasn't looking like a **** in all of her recent videos.
Because her songs get constant play on commercial radio, and a good majority of the people who listen to that, are 13-15 year olds, she has become a role model for young girls, whether she likes it or not.

This means that she has to take some responsibility for her "image". As it is, she isn't at the moment, therefore I have no respect for her.

I understand that sex sells, and she may be attracting a few young male fans for dressing like a whore, but you CAN look sexy without looking like a skank.

What ever happened to the nice girl in Genie in a Bottle?

Yes her look is trashy but alot of people like her image and her look, her music. Thats why she'd have more money now than you and I will ever have!

You like her look?

And her music is brain-washed into commercial radio listeners, people who watch TV (if for example they used one of her songs in an advert) , etc. how do you think "artists" like herself, and many one hit wonders actually sell all those records?

yes I do like her look, yes its trashy but I still like it. Its cool!
I dont care how artists like Christina Arguilera sell their records. The fact is they sell them.
Are you suggesting she is a one hit wonder too?? Because she may be alot of things but shes not a one hit wonder.Shes had genie in a bottle, come on over, lady marmalade, beautifull and dirty.

You think it's cool? Well I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. are you partially blind by any chance? :p

Just remember that selling a huge amount of records, does not make you a quality artist.

And yes I realise that Christina has had more than one hit, and I wasn't trying to suggest that she is a one hit wonder, rather that, in ten or twenty years time, people may remember her for this so called cool image she has, but not for her great music.

Which is what any self-respecting artist would want to be remembered for. But that is her choice and it really doesnt have anything to do with me.

Well I like her music and I think ALOT of girls from my generation will remember her for her music! We dont know what sort of music she will come up with in the next 5 years or so do we? But I think she'll be remembered for her music! Particularly for her role in lady marmalade!

When theres a generation of young impressionable girls that are more immoral then ever before. Christina Aguilera and other shameless whores will bare part of the blame. Won't be long before these so called musicians start porn, naked filmclips etc. how low can the music industry go? To think Christina was a talent youngster who worked hard, then she sold out and resorted to shameless "dirty" whorelike songs
