View Full Version : Tarkyn Lockyer: New Injury
Report on Ch 10 news tonight that Tarkyn is now suffering from a new injury:- Stress fractures in one of his feet. He is going to have surgery tomorrow apparently.
They also said that if the injury had not occurred he could have made a return in Rd 21. Bad luck that. Best wishes in getting better Tarkyn.
A round 21 return would've been great. He could of ran into form in Willy and helped us in the finals. Will this injury affect his pre-season?
I believe will add about six weeks to his recovery. So, at a guess, I 'spose he will be right for the pre-season.
Ah, so obviously you had heard about it ...:)
Bloody Tarks. Just get right for next year son!
I wouldn't want him rushing back this year anyway. The injury could be a blessing in disguise as he will now be concentrating on 2004.

I heard about his new injury... but does anyone know how he did it?
Could have been any number of ways. As its a foot injury, most likely just doing some running/exercises.
I agree with the above, at leadt this will make him focus on next year solely. I hate short term recoveries from Knee Reco's, they always seem to rebound on the player.

I don't know much about inuries but I guess it might have been caused because he was trying to lessen the strain on his knee and consequently putting more strain on his feet. But, that's just a guess.

I think (based on a very hazy part of my memory) he has had stress fractures before prior to him being elevated onto our senior list.
