Just a bit of harmless, turn your brain off, and admire the MILF that is Mary-Louise Parker type of film. Wouldn't pay for it mind you :p

I would probably like that if I were 10. If I were 12 I would i have already grown out of it.

Harmless, turn your brain off fun = The A-Team

RED was stylised rubbish. The stylising was lame. When Malkovich batted the grenade back with his aussault weapon and then shot the bazooka missile, I got up and walked out.

If you like RED you also would have liked:

Shootem Up
XXX
Crank
The Transporter

And you have mental age of 10.

All amazing movies ;).

Shoot em up is hilariously bad, that's what makes it so good.

I didn't think much of it for reasons stated.

A well billed cast though, and Richard Dreyfuss pops up in his twilight years.

You wonder how Helen Mirren will feel having that on her credits list (WTF was she thinking?).

I think people can enjoy a movie and not be stupid

I don't have any problem with people enjoying movies for various reasons and one of them is so you can switch you mind off and enjoy them

you dont need to go to a movie for a moral lesson

I think people can enjoy a movie and not be stupidI would have liked this movie up intil i was about 12. At 12 I would have been going "this is shit"

Sorry, but that scene with the bazooka switches my mind back on. A big siren goes off that says "i'm not this stupid"

you dont need to go to a movie for a moral lesson
No one is saying that. I'm quite happy to watch mindless action flicks - as long as they don't insult my intelligence.

Die Hard = mindless but ok. We know that in real life if he jumped out a window attached to a chain then he'd bounce of the window below rather than crash through etc.

But you can cop that shit in the name of a bit of fun.

The stuff in RED, or XXX, or Crank, or Transporter, or Mission Impossible - OTT ridiculous. Doesn't need to be that way.
