Due to my seeming obsession with all things British - and male actor related, I think it's fitting to start a thread on one of the most talented British actors of the modern era. Why??
Read below,

- His performance as Boromir was a stand out in Fellowship of the Ring

- He can play the tortured bad guy well and believably (see Don't Say a Word and Golden Eye)

- He looks mighty fine in uniform (see Sharpe mini-series)

- He isn't scared to take on challenging roles, such as the next film he is slated to star in, as a gay Nazi soldier in fascist Italy called Venetian Heat

- He is going to be starring alongside Brad Pitt and Eric Bana (to name just two) in next year's Troy, as the mentor to Pitt's Achilles, Odyseuss.

- Oh and he's a ****ing hottie for someone who turned 44 this year

Anyone else??

Is that the guy I saw in an ad for videos of adaptations of Catherine Cookson novels?

I admit I hadn't heard of him till I saw that ad. :eek:

Maybe you could post a few pics of him. :)

Agreed. It was his role in Goldeneye that really made me like Bean.
Done it very well and now i always try to catch his movies.

Also the Vicar's pinup boy in Vicar of Dibley.

As a fan of the book's it's a shame we didn't get the Sharpe movies on TV here (even if Bean looks nothing like the Sharpe described in the book)

Was also in a very good soccer film called something like When Saturday Comes as a washed up never was who gets a crack at the big time.

Thank you!!!! :D Now I know, from reading his credits why I haven't noticed him before. I haven't seen any of his movies. :o Well unless he's had small parts and I just haven't noticed him. :p

It's great to see that I am not the only Bean admirer......he was just too darn sexy in Don't Say a Word IMO.

Just have to confirm that I only admire his acting, not anything else (not that there's anything wrong with that)
