Hussey a fan of status quo
Mike Hussey has appealed to selectors to stick with the status quo for the upcoming Ashes series and dismissed any speculation of disunity in the Australian camp.

Yeah good one hussey lets not change anything seeing how we've been so successful of late. We need change

Pathetic, expect better from Hussey.
Comes across as begging for a reprieve.
*please don't take my 6 figure income away*
He can say what he likes, lets hope the selectors are a bit smarter...
Oh well footy starts again in 4 months.

He probably earned a reprieve from the selectors for the first test due to his good ODI form last night

I thought the thread title was referring to Hussey's love of the band Status Quo!:o Really though, these comments sound a bit desperate. Unfortunately I see the selectors doing just this, sticking with the status quo...:(

yeah probly could of named it something abit better but that was the title of the article so i just stuck to it.
Doesn't matter what we all think, we all know what he said is spot on with our current selectors.
He is effectively saying that he enjoys losing. The old confident Hussey would never say things like this. Makes me sad :(

Hanged man opposing the death penalty.
Hussey knows that he would be the first to go.

I've followed Test cricket a long time and if Hussey gets picked for the 1st Test it will be one of the all time crap and illogical selection of the last 20 years. Three series in a row that he's failed. Good one-day form should n longer get him out of trouble.

3 series? His last 34 tests he's averaged less than 35. Three tons in that time, one which was in the match against Pakistan in Sydney. The guy is done, he's been good but he's had his time.

Of course he's a fan of the status quo. He is the status quo.
If he wasn't in the side, he'd be calling for drastic changes.

First thought when I read it was of a drowning man begging for a life-jacket.
