How lucky is Port Power?

Hey, what's going on guys? I just heard that if Port lose tomorrow, you get to play Freo here in a practice match next week.

That means only one trip away for the whole pre-season .... just who's sleeping with whom at the Power and the AFL????

Gotta feel sorry for Brisbane - firstly a trip to NZ, then to Cairns, one home game, and now down to Melbourne!

Then again, the "serious" final is played in Melbourne after the completion of the minor round, so I guess a little practice interstate is a bonus.

P.S. I just remembered you did travel to Darwin, but that was just a privately organised practice match, so I'm not really counting that http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif

well why does Adelaide get to play a trial here tomorrow?? To me that doesnt make sense, nor does port playin freo here if we lose. I thought you were meant to play in some town with a population of 46 if you dont make the finals

Crow54, the fact we were the top team in the Ansett Cup means that we deserve to get a home final here, but I would of been happy for my team to travel every week if it meant we could still have Tredrea and Lade playing for us.

Anyway I don't think it mattered where we played our games because we probably still would of won all 3. I think our skill level for this time of year is much higher than the other teams but this Kangaroo match tonight will be a real test.
