Honourable mentions to Pev, Welly and Johnno.
Sess is so high not because of his possessions, but the game the changed when he came into the ruck.
Hille had an ordinary day in the ruck, and was making peaheart mckernan look good.

thought MJ played well and Haynes showed something.
Pretty lackluster performance tho, just went thru the motions really.

Sometimes we cna get a bit greedy with regards to wanting to win by big margins. The Blues had a go today, and in difficult blustery conditions a 6 goal win is okay.

pagan now has officially no clue what so ever. Did anyone read his steaming pile of w@nk about us in the herald sun today? 'They'll give the finals a shake up'... Another 4 efforts like that and we won't.

I think we could go well in the finals.
I agree with what Dan said. In poor conditions a 6 goal win is pretty good. We are no where near how good we can get and if we get there then we could give the finals a shake. Thats if we make it of course.

A 6 goal win in those conditions is good, against a half decent team. We really should have pulped that rabble.

The point is, that the most important thing was just to win. We know we can play better because we have seen the team play better in matches this year against Brisbane, West Coast and Collingwood. So, I don't think there is any need to worry about the "average" display yesterday, because we all know we can play better because we've seen it!
It's a bit like '96 where we played like crap in round 22 against the Bulldogs and snuck home by 4 points. We then played exceptionally the next week in a one-point loss to the Bears, and thumped the Eagles the week after.
I didn't care how we played yesterday, as long as we won.

Pev stiff.
Mercuri's performance was, well, heartbreaking to watch. Will he be dropped?
Hille stank in the ruck but played better in the second half up forward.
Haynes looks like the real deal.
James Hird, you beauty.
I taped the game as I was out car shopping, and ended up watching it in halves. It was like watching two games; the performances were night and day.
At the end of the day, I'll take a 6 goal win, even though I would have liked to have pole-axed them. I think conditions were more difficult that it appeared. In some ways it was almost like we played in the wet.

I agree with Dan. I'll take the 4 points and a position in the eight.
